In order to improve students’ sports participation behavior,the influence of physical education teachers’ own quality on middle school students’ sports participation behavior was studied,and the mediating role between students’ physical education classroom satisfaction and students’ sports participation motivation was discussed.The results show that:(1)the core literacy of physical education teachers positively predicts students’ sports participation behavior;(2)Student physical education classroom satisfaction plays a mediating role between the core literacy of physical education teachers and students’ sports participation behavior;(3)students’ motivation for sports participation plays a mediating role between the core literacy of physical education teachers and students’ sports participation behavior;(4)Student physical education classroom satisfaction and students’ sports participation motivation play a mediating role between physical education teachers’ core literacy and students’ sports participation behavior.Based on the above conclusions,this study puts forward the following suggestions for the core literacy of physical education teachers to affect students’ sports participation behavior:(1)strengthen the sense of responsibility of physical education teachers for their own work;(2)strengthen the teaching ability of physical education teachers;(3)Strengthen the professional knowledge and professional ability of physical education teachers.
