The 20 th Party Congress report clearly pointed out that the comprehensive rule of law is a profound revolution in the governance of the country,which is related to the Party’s ruling and prosperity,the happiness and well-being of the people,and the long-term peace and stability of the Party and the country.In order to further promote the rule of law education in China,China has also issued the "Rule of Law China Construction Plan(2020-2025)".From the series of policies and documents issued by the Party and the government to promote the comprehensive rule of law,we can appreciate the state’s concern and attention to the construction of the rule of law.The growth of young people is related to the quality of the country’s future development,and strengthening education on the rule of law for young people is undoubtedly the focus of the future development of education in China.School is the main channel for young people to learn rule of law knowledge and develop key skills,and morality and rule of law classes play an important role in rule of law education in school,so only by correctly using morality and rule of law classes as a platform for rule of law education can the effect of rule of law education be optimized.The author takes cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law as the theme of this paper,and uses teaching as the entry point to explore the strategies for cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law in teaching morality and rule of law classes in junior high schools.The main text is divided into four parts.The first part is about the concept of rule of law consciousness and the importance of its cultivation.By defining the connotation of rule of law and rule of law consciousness,the paper composes the content of rule of law consciousness in junior high school morality and rule of law textbooks from the perspective of the extension of rule of law consciousness and analyzes the important value of its cultivation.The second part investigates the current situation of cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law in junior high school morality and rule of law classes,summarizes the results achieved in cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law,and the main problems that still exist in cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law,such as insufficient attention to the subject,formal classroom teaching,teachers’ professionalism in rule of law education not in line with students’ needs,and students’ poor learning outcomes.The third part analyzes the specific causes of the problems from the perspectives of schools,teachers and students,and provides important arguments for the following inquiry into the cultivation strategies of students’ awareness of the rule of law.The fourth part is to explore the effective strategies for cultivating students’ awareness of the rule of law in teaching morality and rule of law in junior high school,which is also the focus of the research of the paper,and the author proposes strategies from the following four aspects: firstly,schools should overcome the influence of exam-oriented thinking and enrich the carrier of rule of law education;secondly,teachers should optimize the teaching methods of rule of law education to enhance the effectiveness of cultivating awareness of the rule of law;once again,we should build a high-level teacher team and Finally,we should also pay attention to the diversification of teaching evaluation and give play to the main role of students’ learning.
