The importance of interdisciplinarity has been known for half a century,and international research on interdisciplinarity has focused on its educational significance and its relevance to sub-disciplinary curricula.Research has shown that interdisciplinary concepts can permeate all subject areas and have significant implications for the effective promotion of students’ core literacy development.The promulgation of the Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education in 2022 is a major reform for art education and undoubtedly has a significant impact on high school art as well.The interdisciplinary theme teaching proposed in the new curriculum proposal not only responds to the development of high school art,but also can meet the learning needs of high school students and is urgently needed to be implemented in practice.This paper takes interdisciplinary thematic teaching as an object of study,analyses its value in relation to the real needs of senior secondary art and the physical and mental development characteristics of students,explores specific measures in depth.Art is a comprehensive subject that focuses on beauty and is uniquely valuable for the development of complex talents.This article analyses the interdisciplinary teaching of art in high school,which is divided into the humanities,nature,and art disciplines according to their characteristics,to find common ways of thinking and educational strategies.In four chapters,the paper examines the implementation of interdisciplinary themes in art in high schools.Chapter 1 begins by defining interdisciplinary thematic teaching,distinguishing it from interdisciplinary teaching,analyzing its theoretical foundations and discussing the value of interdisciplinary thematic teaching in high schools.The second chapter analyses the content orientation and organization of interdisciplinary thematic teaching and explores the various forms of interdisciplinary teaching from the superficial to the in-depth.Chapter 3 explores the principles that need to be upheld in teaching practice and proposes four implementation strategies.Chapter 4 analyses the key points and examples of interdisciplinary teaching between art and other disciplines and dissects the teaching practice to illustrate design ideas and analyse teaching effectiveness. |
