From "I" To "We"

The development of modernization and the pursuit of economic interests have led to changes in the face of traditional villages,the original social structure of villages has been fractured,the social ties among villagers have been weakened,the village identity based on village unity has collapsed,and the traditional village community has shown an increasing trend of decline in the external effects of modernization.In recent years,with the continuous investment of the state and society in rural areas,some villages have taken advantage of external opportunities to develop industries in villages by relying on the resilience of villages themselves.While village industries promote the economic development of villages,the social benefits of villages are also steadily improving,gradually forming a new village community.The disintegration and remodeling of the community are manifested in the transformation of the village structure and function.Therefore,this paper studies the remodeling of the village community under the perspective of structural functionalism,using participant observation and case interviews to collect data,and in the acquisition of research data,a case study on how the village community is shaped by the rural industrial development is conducted.The study examines the decline and reshaping of village community by examining the industrial development and the basic conditions of village X.The study also analyzes how industrial development shapes village community.The study finds that on the one hand,the market economy has impacted on the original village social relations,and the collective identity of the village has disintegrated,which is manifested in the disappearance of village resources,loose social relations,the extinction of village culture,and the decline of traditional village value norms;however,on the other hand,because the original resilience of the village still exists,and the national policies and support for rural areas have been continuously strengthened,these factors ensure that the village will not disappear,and the reshaping of the village community is still possible.These factors ensure that villages will not disappear and that the reshaping of village communities is still possible.The development of industry provides this opportunity and possibility,and the development of village industry brings about the reshaping of village economic,political,social and cultural systems;at the same time,the reshaping of X-village community is formed by the internal and external forces of the village on the basis of industrial development,and the social structure of the village is changing at the same time as the industrial development,and the economic benefits of the village under the industrial development are being enhanced and the social benefits are being highlighted.Thus,we believe that the Chinese village in the 21 st century will not end up in the wave of marketization and modernization,but the industrial development of the village makes the Chinese village vibrantly alive,and finally realizes the modernization of rural governance.
