Novels have always occupied a place in primary and secondary school textbooks because of their vivid plots and vivid images.The comprehensive implementation of the Textbook of Compulsory Chinese Education approved by the Ministry of Education in2016,and the promulgations of the 2017 edition of Chinese Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools and the 2022 edition of the Compulsory Chinese Curriculum Standards make "large unit teaching" gradually become a hot topic in the education circle.This paper starts with the case analysis of the existing novel unit teaching,clarifies the existing problems in practice,combines with the arrangement of Chinese novel unit in junior middle school,analyzes the feasibility of the novel large unit teaching and puts forward teaching suggestions.In order to provide teaching ideas for front-line Chinese educators,the unit of modern novels in Grade 9 of Chinese textbooks compiled by the ministry is integrated and reconstructed,and the teaching design of large units is carried out.The main ideas and contents of the paper are as follows:First of all,it analyzes the problems existing in the unit teaching of Chinese novels in junior middle school.Sort out and analyze the teaching design and record of several novel units,and summarize the problems existing in the teaching objectives,teaching process and teaching evaluation design in the teaching of Chinese novel units in the ministry edition of junior middle school.Secondly,statistics and analysis of the department edition of junior high school Chinese textbook novel content arrangement.Firstly,this paper analyzes the basic situation of Chinese textbook novels in partial edition of junior middle school from the items,quantity and categories of the selected novels,then analyzes the distribution of novels in each grade and each unit of novels,summarizes the characteristics of the hierarchy and diversification of the selected text content arrangement of textbook novels,and sorts out the existing problems in the content arrangement.That is,the number of novels is unevenly distributed,the internal logic of the arrangement is unclear,and the arrangement ignores stylistic features.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the feasibility of the large unit teaching of novels in junior middle school Chinese textbooks compiled by the department,puts forward corresponding teaching strategies,and tries to carry out teaching design.The first is an integrated analysis of the feasibility of large unit teaching of fiction from three dimensions: content,theme and objective.Second,based on the integrated analysis of the content of the novel unit,it puts forward the teaching suggestions of the novel unit from four aspects: determining the theme,creating the situation,designing the task and carrying out the evaluation.Thirdly,on the basis of research,the unit of modern novels in the ninth grade textbook is selected to be integrated and reconstructed,and the teaching design of the large unit is carried out from three aspects: determining the theme,creating the situation and implementing the task.Finally,this design is summarized and reflected to prove its feasibility and provide reference for front-line teachers.
