The 20 th Party Congress has given direction to the high-quality development of vocational education and further optimised the positioning of vocational education types. Our country has continuously released policy dividends and placed great emphasis on vocational education, which gives students more opportunities to further their studies and increases their employment rate.Vocational education is shifting from the expectation of "promising" to the practical stage of "great achievements".With high-quality development of the modern logistics industry, demand for highly skilled personnel is increasing. To meet the needs of this industry and improve the quality of talent training, this paper proposes a teaching mode for the traditional teaching mode of secondary vocational schools, and explores the teaching method of Warehousing and Distribution Practice applicable to the new situation.Taking the cultivation of the secondary vocational logistics service and management students’ professional competence as the guiding goal of teaching reform, this study compares the relevant theories of task-driven teaching method.A survey of teachers and students in a secondary school in Zhejiang Province was conducted through questionnaires and interviews, and based on statistical analysis of the collated and returned valid data,it is found that the main problems lie in students’ lack of internal motivation, limited improvement of skills, lack of development of competencies, single teaching method and single assessment method. In response to the problems,task-driven teaching is proposed in the secondary level Warehousing and Distribution Practice. The teaching design is mainly divided into the following aspects: teaching goal design, teaching content design, teaching process design, and teaching evaluation design. The design of the teaching objectives specifies 16 specific objectives in the areas of vocational knowledge, vocational skills and vocational literacy. The teaching content design is centred on the working process of logistics warehousing and distribution industry, and provides task sheets for each of the seven teaching projects. The knowledge and skills that students should know and master in each program is designed on the task-driven approach. In the design of teaching process, this paper studies and designs the curriculum implementation process of "one line, two perspectives, three steps" task-driven teaching method. The design of teaching evaluation includes students, group members and teachers as evaluation subjects according to diversified criteria, and establishes an evaluation system including learning process evaluation and post-lesson practice evaluation.Based on the teaching design,a task-driven teaching practice is carried out for logistics students in a secondary school in Zhejiang Province.Taking the teaching content of "making and printing the storage slip" as an example, this study evaluates the teaching effectiveness in terms of the dimensions of the theory unit test, the operational assessment and the classroom evaluation scale respectively. In the theoretical test, the average score of the experimental class was 89.95,which was not much different from the 89.45 of the traditional class. In the operation assessment, the average score of the completion of the experimental class was 89.85,which was slightly higher than the 87.64 of the traditional class; In the operation time assessment, the average time of the experimental class was 258 seconds, which was significantly faster than the 300 seconds of the traditional class,an increase of 14%.Practice shows that the application of task-driven teaching method to warehousing and logistics distribution can significantly improve students’ operation level, especially students’ operational proficiency. The results show that the application of task-driven teaching method to the teaching practice of secondary vocational education is beneficial to improving students’ professional skills, enhancing students’ professional qualities, and stimulating students’ learning motivation. There is a positive and useful attempt for the study of application of task-driven method to the course Warehousing and Distribution Practice.Promoting the development of secondary vocational education and logistics industry depends on more schools’ and teachers’ researching on and attempts at such teaching method.
