A Study On Singapore Teacher Education Talent Training Model Under The Digital Transformation Of Education

The digital transformation of education is now a common trend,as the use of digital technology in education accelerates.As an important part of the digital transformation of education,teacher education is facing tremendous changes.Singapore’s education digitalization started earlier and its level is far ahead.Singapore has developed teaching innovation and transformation in education,it is also committed to improving teachers’ digital literacy and training future teachers.The improvement of the teacher education personnel training model has certain reference significance for China.Under the digital transformation of education,this study took Singapore’s teacher education talent training model as the research object,and attempted to systematically analyze and discuss the following issues by using literature research and text analysis methods.Firstly,how Singapore has constructed its teacher training objectives in the context of digital transformation of education;secondly,how Singapore has developed its curriculum,reformed teaching and learning and provided an intelligent environment around talent development objectives.The research found that Singapore had a high degree of maturity in digital transformation,and the teacher education reform had achieved remarkable results.Along with digital transformation,changes have taken place in Singapore’s talent capacity needs,talent training and students’ learning methods in primary and secondary schools.Driven by external needs,Singapore puts forward the “four kinds of life” learning concept and the talent training goal of simultaneously developing knowledge,skills and values.From the perspective of Singapore teacher education curriculum system,teaching reform and intelligent environment,this study analyzed Singapore’s teacher education talent training model under the digital transformation of education.Among them,the curriculum system includes initial teaher education courses and professional development.courses.The teaching reform was reflected in the teaching model,teaching method and teaching framework.The intelligent environment is composed of two parts:smart country infrastructure and smart campus.Driven by digital transformation,Singapore’s teacher education talent training model presents some distinctive features.For example,the “Four kinds of Life”learning concept was put forward for the first time to reform the teacher training objectives,emphasized values and the need for professional development in the teacher education courses,teachers used digital platforms to tap the learning model of the digital generation,and schools created a digital environment to achieve ubiquitous learning.Singapore’s teacher education talent training model under the digital transformation of education has important implications for the current and future digital development of teachers in China,such as rethinking the goals of teacher education talent training under Chinese-style modernization and innovating the concept of teacher education;reconstructing the structure of teacher competencies based on digital literacy and building a teacher curriculum system that supports digital transformation;deepening teacher teaching reform;and actively integrating multiple resources to build a smart campus.
