With the need of the transformation of national science and technology,education reform will continue to focus on the improvement of students’ scientific quality.As an major link in the development of the life-long education system,community education has the characteristics of openness,rich social resources,and adequate communication environment.It can be used as a supplement to school and family education,and effectively enhance the richness of the construction of teenagers’ scientific core literacy system.It is a supplement to school and family education and can increase the richness of the construction of teenagers’ scientific core literacy system.Secondly,science popularization as a public product,"all people participate and benefit from it".Therefore,the implementation of core literacy in the community is inevitable.From the perspective of scientific core literacy,sorting out the development status of youth community science popularization curriculum is the only way to comply with the trend of education reform,and to deepen the implementation of quality education objectives,enrich and expand the practice and development of quality education.This study conducted an in-depth investigation and research on the development and practice of popular science curriculum in the future community of Cuiguang,Quzhou City,hoping to theoretically promote the scientific literacy in the concrete and practical nature of community curriculum,improve and promote the new curriculum reform,and play a positive role in the cultivation of young people’s core scientific literacy.After literature review,this thesis draws on the research experience of scholars,clarifies the concept and theoretical basis,clarifies the value,objectives and principles of science popularization curriculum development,and carries out curriculum development relying on local science popularization resources and current scientific and technological hotspots.The content of the course is divided into four sections: Aerospace Experience Series,Understanding the "Elves in the Community" Series,Home Appliances Small Production Series,and Understanding Home Series.Each series has 4-5 activity topics,proposes the overall framework of the popular science curriculum for Cuiguang Future Community,designs the curriculum content and teaching objectives for students in grades 1 to 6 in sections,and provides three case models.Let teenagers practice various types of small experiments,small productions,small inventions and practical investigation activities,let students experience them personally,enrich their direct experience,stimulate their scientific enthusiasm,improve their hands-on operation ability,form a logical scientific thinking mode,and help students improve their scientific literacy from all aspects of scientific concepts,inquiry practice,scientific thinking,attitude and responsibility.After the implementation of the popular science curriculum,the teachers,students and parents who teach will be surveyed by questionnaires and interviews around all aspects of the curriculum development.The results show that students are generally interested in science and are willing to communicate with classmates and teachers.Students who participate in the course have gained in interest,social interaction,performance,observation ability and practical ability.At the same time,students are generally deficient in inquiry practice and scientific thinking,and further attention should be paid to the curriculum design of scientific literacy in these two aspects in the follow-up courses. |
