Research On The Social Work Practice Of Lisu Women’s Development In L Village,Weixi County,Yunnan Province

Nowadays,with the rapid development of social economy and the improvement of social civilization,the development of women’s groups has become an object that cannot be ignored.The preamble of the Program for the Development of Chinese Women(2021-2030)points out that women are the pioneers of human civilization,the promoters of social progress,and an important force for the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country,and gender equality and women’s all-round development are important indicators to measure the progress of social civilization.While the status of women’s groups has been significantly improved,it has also focused the attention of society on women’s groups.In the context of our multi-ethnic group,the development of ethnic minority women should naturally not be underestimated.Because of the specificity of its profession,social work has unique advantages in building relationships and understanding the situation,linking resources to provide targeted help,improving the environment and personal resources.From the perspective of ecosystem theory,this paper attempts to study the practice of social work to promote the development of ethnic minority women in the current context.In this study,Lisu women in village L were investigated by using participatory observation method and semi-structured interviewing method,and it was found that this group had low technical content of livelihood activities and low economic income.Poor development concept and weak development awareness;weak social support;The problem of low education level and insufficient development ability,combined with the survey situation,it was analyzed that the Lisu women in L village have four needs:livelihood development,personal development,social support and self-empowerment.In response to the above problems and needs,social workers use the professional methods of social work to carry out service activities to help Lisu women in L village enhance their development awareness and promote their self-development ability.Through the observation of the project work for one year and interviews with the client and social workers,the author analyzed the practice of social work,affirmed the effectiveness of social work in promoting the development of ethnic minority women,and found that in the process of carrying out service activities,the intervention and specific operation of social work still need to be improved,and summarized and analyzed the problems existing in social work practice,namely,low coverage of beneficiary groups and low activity efficiency,instability of social workers,and limitations of their own abilities.There was negligence in the management of women’s groups,and finally targeted opinions were put forward in order to provide practical references for social work intervention in the development of ethnic minority women.
