Caring theory was born in the United States in the 1980 s,and then became one of the important schools of educational theory in the West,with Neil Noddings as the main representative figure emphasizing that caring is the core of education.Education is a career filled with care and love.As the implementer of care behavior,teachers should deeply understand the meaning of care and internalize the idea of care as a kind of their own behavior quality.The research shows that teachers’ caring behavior has an important role in promoting students’ physical and mental development and teachers’ own professional development.In China,there are few studies on the caring behavior of junior high school teachers.In order to get better care for junior high school students,it is necessary to think and study deeply about the caring behavior of junior high school teachers.This paper mainly adopts the literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.First of all,through the literature analysis,the research status of caring theory and teacher’s caring behavior at home and abroad is sorted out,and it is found that there is still room for expansion in the content and method of the research of teacher’s caring behavior.Secondly,the paper discusses the theory of care in detail,including the background and core content of the caring theory.Then,on this basis,the concept of teacher’s caring behavior is determined.Summarize the five elements and four implementing principles of teachers’ caring behavior.Four dimensions of teachers’ caring behavior are summarized:conscientiousness dimension,respect dimension,support dimension and inclusion dimension.Then,questionnaire survey was conducted on the students of A Middle School in Xuzhou City.The results showed that the overall level of teachers’ caring behavior in junior high school was not high.Through data analysis,it was concluded that the practical dilemma of teachers’ caring behavior in junior high school mainly included the following points: teachers’ caring behavior for students did not rise to the emotional level;Students’ expectation of teachers’ caring behavior is inconsistent with the actual teachers’ caring behavior.The students’ response to teachers’ caring behavior is relatively unitary.Thirdly,according to the results of the questionnaire survey,the middle school teachers are interviewed to explore the reasons behind the current situation of the middle school teachers’ caring behavior.The article summarizes the factors affecting the middle school teachers’ caring behavior from the aspects of teachers,students and other aspects.Finally,based on the existing difficulties of junior high school teachers’ caring behavior and its influencing factors,combined with the theory of caring,the author puts forward the ways to improve junior high school teachers’ caring behavior: to enhance teachers’ caring quality;To establish the caring teacher-student relationship;To create a caring school atmosphere;Build a caring support system. |
