In the new era,the demand for innovative talents is more urgent.As a tool for cultivating and selecting talents,how can exams play the role of cultivating innovative talents? In the "innovation" of the college entrance examination evaluation system,it is pointed out that the examination questions should be set up in a novel way of presentation and questioning,so that students can completely open or exploratory tasks.The open-ended questions have the characteristics of flexible content,divergent thinking,and not unique answers,allowing students to explore problems from different perspectives,and effectively cultivating students’ divergent thinking and innovation ability,which meets the requirements of the college entrance examination evaluation system.However,the research on the open-ended questions of biology is not mature enough,and how to make the open-ended questions are worth discussing deeply.In this study,by sorting out the literature related to the open-ended test,to understand the basic situation of the open-ended test research,to collect and analyze the open-ended test questions in the large-scale high school biology exams at home and abroad,and to propose the characteristics of the open-ended test.Then,combined with the requirements of China’s college entrance examination evaluation system and high school biology curriculum standards,the general path of the open-ended test question formulation is obtained,and the propositional paradigm of open-ended test questions is refined.According to the proposition path and paradigm,eight open-ended test questions were formulated,and the test questions were further revised according to the situation of expert consultation and small-scale testing,and then the set of test questions was put into the middle school for testing.The Rasch model was used to analyze the test data.The results show that the overall quality of the test questions is good,which verifies the feasibility of the proposition paradigm proposed in this study.The study draws the following paradigms of open questions in high school biology: first,the open questions with concept knowledge as the main body are "general-special" and "concept/principle-example";Second,the open question question paradigm with experimental inquiry as the main body is "verification--design(experimental thinking)","inquiry--design(experimental thinking)","experiment--variable","experiment--evaluation".Third,the open question paradigm of science frontier is "new technology(new discovery)--new use" and "New technology(new discovery)--evaluation".Fourthly,the paradigm of open questions based on life practice is "phenomenon-retrospective" and "real problem-some kind of solution".Fifthly,the open question paradigm with viewpoint argumentation as the main body is "personal viewpoint--argumentation" and "given viewpoint--finding evidence".
