Research On The Application Of Tracker Software In Physics Teaching

In today’s educational information age,how to integrate information technology into physics teaching is a hot research topic in the field of physics education.Tracker software is a video analysis and modeling tool developed for physics education.With its characteristics of free and open source,simple operation and powerful function,it can collect and analyze data automatically,visualize complex physical processes and situations.Tracker software can reveal the physical laws hidden behind physical phenomena simply,efficiently,intuitively,and make up for the limitations and difficulties of traditional teaching.Therefore,it provide a new and effective teaching method for middle school physics teachers,help them break through the important and difficult points quickly and improve the effect of teaching.Firstly,through literature research,this study understands the application status of Tracker software in physics teaching at home and abroad,analyzes the theoretical basis that supports the application of Tracker software in teaching and its guiding role.Also,this study combines the cognitive development characteristics of middle school students with the characteristics of physics,discusses the integration of Tracker software and physics teaching,and summarizes the applicable topics of Tracker software in Luke version of high school physics textbooks,the application principles and application steps in teaching.Moreover,this study designs the teaching cases of “Free fall motion(the first class)”,“Rope and spring elasticity mutation problem” and “The ball falls and compresses the spring model” in combination with Tracker software,carries out the teaching practice and experimental research.The experimental results show that,compared with the teaching method without Tracker software,the application of Tracker software promotes students’ understanding of knowledge more effectively,and improves students’ interest,attention and confidence in learning.
