With the deepening of curriculum reform,deep learning has become a hot topic of research in the mathematics education,and it is a fundamental response to the requirement of cultivating the core literacy in mathematics.The problem is the soul of mathematics.The problem chain teaching is an effective teaching and learning way,which leads students to participate actively in the class and think deeply about them by combining the mathematical problems reasonably.Based on the analysis of existing literature on deep learning and the problem chains,the thesis analyses the internal relationship among the core literacy,deep learning and the problem chains in mathematics,proposes the principles and implementation strategies of problem chains teaching and learning based on deep learning via using the methods of the literature analysis,the case analysis,and the class observation,and puts them into practice.The aim is to promote deep learning and cultivate students’ core literacy in mathematics.The main contributions of the thesis consist of three parts as follows.(1)The paper analyzes the internal relationships among the core literacy,deep learning and the problem chains in mathematics.Through analysis,this paper finds that the problem chains can facilitate the beginning of deep learning,and deep learning can guide the design and implementation of problem chains;the problem chain teaching based on deep learning take the core literacy of mathematics as the starting point and the anchor point,providing an external framework and an internal motivation for developing students’ core literacy.(2)The design principles and implementation strategies of deep learning-based problem chain teaching are proposed.The design principles are the knowledge dimension-based design,the skill level-based design,the cognitive level-based design,and the thinking level-based design.The implementation strategies include: creating the democratic atmosphere in class,constructing the deep dialogue in class,and paying attention to free time in class.(3)A general process to the problem chain teaching based on deep learning in concept lesson and exercise lesson is designed by incorporating the proposed principles and strategies for teaching practice.The first case is a concept lesson on ellipse and its standard equation,and the second case is an exercise lesson on the value of eccentricity.The results of the problem chain teaching based on deep learning are analyzed and summarized to verify the positive impact of realizing students’ deep learning and cultivating the core literacy in mathematics.
