Food security is an important foundation for social stability and national security,and is highly valued by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core.Implementing the national food security strategy is an important task during my country’s "14th Five-Year Plan" period.Carrying out food security education is the foundation of implementing the national food security strategy,and the promulgation of the Anti-Food Waste Law of the People’s Republic of China has laid a solid foundation for the development of food security education.Base.The high school geography curriculum contains the content of food security education,and the geography subject has the characteristics of both humanities and natural subjects and has unique educational value.Therefore,the high school geography curriculum is an important carrier for implementing food security education.The high school stage is a critical period for the formation of a person’s values.Under the background that the country attaches great importance to food security,researching the implementation strategy of food security education in high school geography teaching is important for cultivating students’ core literacy of geography,implementing the educational goals of morality and cultivating people,and maintaining national food.Safety is important.To this end,the connotation of food security education for high school students is firstly clarified by studying a large number of literatures.Then,the necessity of the research is expounded through the analysis of the cultivation of the overall national security concept,the educational goals of morality and education,and the reform of the college entrance examination.By stating the attributes of geography,the core competencies of geography,the relationship between the new curriculum standards and food security education,the feasibility of the research is clarified.Then,based on the above research,the goal of food security education in high school geography teaching is constructed,and the goal is summarized as "understanding the potential risks of food security,increasing food security knowledge","caring about food security and national security,forming the concept of international cooperation","cultivating food security" The habit of saving food and loving food,and actively ensuring food security.” Then,through a questionnaire survey on teachers and students,it is found that there are some problems in the current high school geography teaching food security education: some teachers have insufficient understanding of food security,students lack knowledge of food security and their behavioral tendency to maintain food security needs to be strengthened.The main reasons for the analysis of the problem are that schools do not pay enough attention to food security education in high school geography teaching,lack of corresponding practice and evaluation in geography teaching,and single teaching methods in actual teaching.In view of this situation,this study puts forward the implementation strategy of food security education in high school geography teaching.The first is that the school attaches great importance to the education of the overall national security concept,improves the comprehensive quality of teachers,and strengthens the evaluation practice of food security education in geography teaching.The second is based on the principles of science,geography,inquiry,and close connection with reality.Third,it is proposed to focus on the classroom and combine the teaching of geography to carry out food security education.The specific methods include: integrating and optimizing the resources of food security education in geography textbooks,paying appropriate attention to the connection between disciplines,using various teaching methods skillfully,and using information technology and language flexibly.Art and extracurricular practical activities that integrate food security education assist classroom teaching.Finally,according to the above strategies,the content of the "Cultivated Land Resources and Food Security in China" section of the Optional Compulsory No.3 Middle School of the New People’s Education Edition is selected to present the teaching design,in order to provide some reference for teachers’ teaching practice.
