The Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)suggests that the building and use of social education resources,such as communities,universities and enterprises,should be enhanced.The vernacular resources originate from and land in social life,and in themselves can be used as a good contextual material and teaching content.By placing local materials in real situations,students are guided to connect chemical knowledge with their original life experiences,build a platform to connect theoretical knowledge with real life and society,stimulate students’ interest in exploring new knowledge,learn to pay attention to life itself,enhance their sense of social responsibility and mission,and establish a positive value orientation in the process of learning.Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian Province,with unique natural and humanistic scenery and profound historical and cultural heritage.Rational development and utilization of the local resources in the Fuzhou area are of theoretical and practical significance for teachers’ teaching and students’ learning to a certain extent.This study adopts a theoretical and practical approach to develop and apply Fuzhou local resources to chemistry classroom teaching based on constructivist learning theory,Tao Xingchi’s life education theory and humanistic learning theory to verify the effectiveness of chemistry design in the context of Fuzhou local resources.Firstly,the background of the study is elaborated from the reform of curriculum system and chemistry curriculum standards,the necessity of local resources development,and the value of the study is analyzed from both theoretical and practical significance;the current situation of domestic and foreign research on local education and local resources development is reviewed through literature research method to understand the achievements and shortcomings of the existing research.Secondly,the basic principles to be followed in developing local resources are proposed.The local resources in the Fuzhou area were excavated and organized,classified according to their presentation and examples of them were selected to illustrate them,so as to provide reference for the subsequent organization of the chemistry knowledge points corresponding to the local resources in Fuzhou.Again,the survey was conducted by questionnaire to investigate the current implementation of local teaching by teachers in junior high schools in Fuzhou,to summarize the current situation of the application of local resources in junior high school chemistry teaching in Fuzhou and to point out the problems.Then,based on the analysis results of the questionnaire and the literature,three application methods were proposed to improve the teaching application of local resources in Fuzhou in order to solve the problem of insufficient application of local resources by teachers.The current ninth grade textbook in Fuzhou is used to organize the chemistry knowledge points that can be permeated with Fuzhou local resources by combining the application strategies proposed in this paper and implementing them into the specific teaching implementation process.The case study method was used to select "Caring for Water Resources" for teaching case design and further exploration of chemistry teaching practices.By observing students’ classroom performance and student questionnaires,we understand the gains and shortcomings of the local resources in the actual teaching application process.Finally,the study was summarized and constructive suggestions were made for the development and utilization of local resources in Fuzhou from both aspects of teachers,education departments and schools,and the shortcomings of this study were analyzed and the future research and practice were prospected.
