Due to the needs of social development and urban construction,migrant workers have flooded to Qingdao,lived in the city for a long time,known as new citizens.The new citizens have brought a large number of labor force to Qingdao,and their families have also moved into the city,providing opportunities for their children to study in the city.Y Primary School in J District is located in the southwest suburbs of J District,and most of the handicraft production factories in this district are located nearby.Therefore,it has gathered a large number of new citizens who come from other places to search for job opportunities.The new residents are divided into three categories,namely migrant workers entering the city,residents of “village to village” communities,and young talents introduced from outside the city.Y Primary School in J District is located in the southwest suburbs of J District,and the handicraft production factories in this area are distributed.Therefore,it has a large number of unskilled job opportunities,which brings together a lot of new citizens who come from other places to search for job opportunities.The new citizens here belong to the first category of migrant workers.Their common point is that they are engaged in a single assembly line work or work with low technical content and mainly manual labor,and their cultural level is generally not high.According to research,over 85% of the students in Y Primary School in J District come from families of new citizens.Therefore,using this school to conduct research on the children of new citizens is representative.With the influx of more and more new citizens,the number of local students at Y Primary School is gradually decreasing,and they are replaced by the children of new citizens from different regions.Y Primary School needs to adjust its teaching structure and carry out classroom teaching reform to help new citizens’ children adapt to urban life and school education.Most children of new urban residents lack the awareness of developing good learning habits,and parents are unable to help their children’s learning or invest less in their children’s learning and cultural development.Moreover,the parents and elders of new citizen families generally have low cultural level,and there are always misconceptions about their children’s education,which affects their learning attitude.Y Primary School has high attention to this group of students with learning difficulties.The teachers have taken action to improve the problem,but the problem is severe,and there is an urgent need for students,parents,and the school teachers to jointly improve the problem.Using interview and questionnaire methods,a survey was conducted on the causes of students in Grade 4,Grade 5 and Grade 6 of Y Primary School.SPSS was used for analysis.Research has found that students with learning difficulties generally have characteristics such as lack of initiative in learning,poor learning habits,and low self-efficacy.The impact of the family environment on students with academic difficulties in new citizen families highlights the education and environmental issues of new citizen families.Moreover,there is a lack of teaching methods and literacy among school teachers,neglecting their attention to the real needs of students with learning difficulties and failing to implement hierarchical teaching.In order to obtain more accurate information,three representative students with learning difficulties were selected for case study.Discuss the specific causes from the background survey,and formulate appropriate improvement plans according to the performance and characteristics of the three students’ learning difficulties,and observe the improvement process and effect.Based on the above issues and case studies,the following improvements can be made:firstly,students with learning difficulties should correct their learning attitude,enhance their initiative in learning,cultivate good learning habits,and continuously build confidence,striving to enhance their self-efficacy.Secondly,as parents,they should establish correct educational concepts,improve family education methods,and strengthen effective communication with teachers within our capabilities.Thirdly,as teachers,we should optimize the teaching mode reasonably and effectively carry out hierarchical teaching.And pay attention to the group of students with learning difficulties,and provide them with correct understanding and support.Improve teachers’ quality,change educational concepts,help students with learning difficulties transform,and achieve all-round development.
