A Comparative Study Of Similar Triangles In The Junior High School Mathematics Textbooks Of The People's Education Press, The Beijing Normal University Press And The Jiangsu Education Pres

Abstract/Summary:
This paper adopts the literature review method,statistical method and comparative research method,and makes a comparative study on the contents of the similar triangle part in the "Beijing Normal University edition","People’s Education Press" and "Jiangsu Education Press " mathematics textbooks.This paper compares the presentation of content,the comprehensive difficulty of the course and the difficulty of examples and exercises and draws the following conclusions:(1)In the way of the presentation of content.For content Settings,the three versions are roughly the same content,with subtle differences in the order.For the chapter introduction.The picture information and text information in the introduction of the three editions are different.The People’s Education Press mathematics textbook focuses on extending the knowledge of similar triangles to life practice,while the Beijing Normal University edition emphasizes the learning objectives of this chapter.The pictures of the Jiangsu Education Press textbook are relatively rich.In addition to similar triangles,it also provides square grams for students to operate.For the introduction of the concept,both the people’s Education Press and the Beijing Normal University edition adopt the way of direct definition,while the Jiangsu Education edition adopts the introduction of problem situation.Comparatively speaking,the textbooks of Jiangsu Education edition pay more attention to the guidance and inspiration of students.For the column Settings,the sujiao edition has the most types of columns,the human edition is the least,and the Beijing Normal University edition is in the center.In terms of illustration setting,The three editions of the textbook still illustrate the history of mathematics and need to be improved.For the chapter summary.The textbook of People’s Education Press and the textbook of Jiangsu Education Press include the knowledge framework and review and thinking of this chapter.However,in contrast,the textbook of People’s Education Press is richer in the form of review and thinking.But the textbook of Beijing Normal University edition only involves the problem and requires students to complete the construction of the knowledge framework independently.(2)In terms of the comprehensive difficulty of the course.In terms of course breadth,the three versions contain 11 knowledge points with the same breadth;From the perspective of course time,from less to more is the People’s Education Press,Beijing Normal University edition and Jiangsu Education Press textbook.From the perspective of course depth,Beijing Normal University edition course depth coefficient is the largest.Combined with the above three aspects,it can be found : the People’s Education Press is the most difficult version of the three versions,t The Beijing Normal University edition of the textbook is the second,and the Jiangsu Education Press is the simplest version of the three versions.(3)In terms of the difficulty of examples and exercises.The total number of examples and exercises in the Jiangsu Education Press is the most of the three versions.From the level of inquiry.The three versions of the textbooks pay more attention to the level of "memorizing" and "understanding",and both pay more attention to the study of basic concepts,and the level of "inquiry" needs to be improved.Look at the background level.The three versions of the textbook are roughly the same at the background level.However,there are still no examples of the "scientific context" background involved in the three versions,which need to be further explored in the future.From the level of operation,the three versions of the textbooks have the smallest proportion in the level of "complex symbol operation".From the level of reasoning.On the level of "simple reasoning",the textbook of People’s Education Press is significantly higher than the other two editions,and The textbooks of Beijing Normal University are consistent with those of Jiangsu Education Press.From the perspective of knowledge content.Both examples and exercises mainly include "two knowledge points" and "more than three" knowledge points,which reflects that the three versions have high requirements for students’ comprehensive ability to use knowledge.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions:(1)Enhance the connection between mathematics and other disciplines.(2)Closely combined with real life,attach importance to the application of mathematics.(3)Enrich the presentation form of the example exercises.(4)Add some examples to the actual background of the exercises...
