A Study On College Students’ Identification With Xi Jinping Thought On Socialism With Chinese Characteristics For A New Era

The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China officially incorporated Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into the Party Constitution.The Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee further summarized the core content of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and defined it as a new leap in the sinicization of Marxism,pointing out the direction for China’s future development.College students,as a new force in building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,carry forward the past and carry forward the mission,and their identification with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era not only affects their individual growth and development,but also relates to the rejuvenation of the nation and the prosperity of the country.This paper studies the current situation and countermeasures of college students Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.First of all,the relevant theoretical basis is studied,based on the theory of ideological and political education of classic Marxist writers,with the basic principles of ideological and political pedagogy as the fundamental follow,and the Western identity theory as a reference.Secondly,from the four dimensions of political identity,theoretical identity,ideological identity and emotional identity(hereinafter referred to as "four identities"),it defines the basic connotation of college students’ ideological identity with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and analyzes the identity of college students with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.The basic characteristics and psychological development stages of socialist thought with Chinese characteristics.Thirdly,based on the survey results,the current situation of the "four identities" of college students is analyzed and summarized,and it is understood that the mainstream of college students’ identities is positive,but there are still weak foundations that affect internalization,emotional instability and fluctuations,insufficient theoretical research depth,and self-esteem.Awareness affects current practice and other issues.The main reasons for the problems include the poor coordination between ideological and political courses and the ideological and political courses,the lack of positive guidance in the social environment,the untimely follow-up of family education and the lack of self-driving potential.Finally,this paper puts forward the cultivation path of college students’ Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era from four aspects: colleges and universities optimization and coordination,social support,consolidating theoretical foundation and enriching social practice.Guide all fields of society to cooperate and provide precise teaching,and promote college students to internalize Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.Make college students recognize the situation clearly,practice their mission.
