The 2022 revision of the Compulsory Education History Curriculum Standards states,"Teachers should strengthen the awareness of history curriculum resources,integrate high-quality resources that help carry out history learning activities,and work together with textbooks to build open and three-dimensional teaching resources." Times are constantly evolving,and the content of textbooks has a certain lag,in which case,various types of extracurricular resources are the key to supporting the integrity of the classroom and are an essential part of the classroom.Extracurricular resources are rich in content and cover a wide range of topics,and are important in implementing history textbooks,enhancing the interest of the history classroom and building a complete history learning system for students.In the context of the current educational reform,teachers should raise the awareness of developing extracurricular resources,integrate extracurricular resources in the classroom at the right time,effectively link in-class and out-of-class knowledge,and handle the relationship between textbooks and extracurricular resources to make classroom teaching more enriching and three-dimensional.Field questionnaires and teacher interviews in five middle schools in Zhengzhou City revealed that although front-line teachers have generally become aware of developing extracurricular resources,there are still some shortcomings in the use of extracurricular resources.According to the characteristics of extracurricular resources in junior high school history,the integration path and principles of extra-curricular resources,combined with the use of extra-curricular resources in junior high school history teaching in Zhengzhou City,the existing problems are analyzed: the solidification of extra-curricular resources access,inappropriate selection of extra-curricular resources content,single form of extra-curricular resources presentation,overuse of extra-curricular resources,etc.These unfavorable factors can largely lead to a significant reduction in the value of extra-curricular resources in middle school history and affect the effectiveness of classroom teaching.In response to the problems and the reflection and analysis of the survey results,countermeasures for the use of history extracurricular resources in junior high schools in Zhengzhou city are proposed.First,to broaden the channels of acquiring resources,to widely acquire extracurricular resources,and to provide reference for teachers to acquire extracurricular resources by integrating local resources,paper resources and internet resources in Zhengzhou;second,to deepen the content of history textbooks,to effectively integrate resources inside and outside the classroom,and to select extracurricular resources that can enter the classroom according to the teaching objectives and textbook content;third,to update teachers’ teaching concepts,to innovate the form of using resources,and to provide new ideas for teachers with novel teaching examples.Finally,they should grasp the degree and quantity of resources,allocate classroom time reasonably,control the quantity and difficulty of extracurricular resources on the premise of resource quality and students’ cognitive level,and use extracurricular resources to improve the teaching effect within limited classroom time.
