| With the rapid development of information technology, school education is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. The classroom teaching mode is undergoing great changes in the information age,and the traditional teaching mode has been unable to meet the requirements of today’s society for the cultivation of students’ learning ability,so blended teaching emerges as a new teaching mode that integrates the advantages of online and offline teaching elements.Although some achievements have been made in the implementation of blended teaching,it is found that the quality of instructional design is directly related to the teaching effect and the learning quality of students in actual teaching. Therefore, how to use appropriate instructional design to improve blended teaching effect is an issue worthy of attention.Guided by the concept of backward design, and based on constructivism and humanism, this study analyzes the intrinsic relationship between backward design and blended learning of high school geography using literature research and practical methods. The study explores the application value of backward design in blended learning of high school geography.Based on this, and in combination with the actual situation of high school geography teaching design,a high school geography blended learning framework based on the concept of backward design was constructed. The specific steps for implementing backward design in blended learning of high school geography were proposed.Using "Water Cycle" from the New Senior Secondary Geography Curriculum as an example, the practical application and evaluation of the framework were conducted. The research results indicate that:(1)Teachers who hold traditional concepts in instructional design tend to neglect the development of students’ core literacy and the importance of instructional assessment, and need to strengthen their focus on teaching objectives and students’ learning processes;.(2)The blended learning framework guided by the concept of backward design has clear operability and guidance, which can significantly improve students’ learning outcomes and interests while also enhancing teachers’ teaching efficiency and quality.(3)The effective implementation of teaching is influenced by various factors such as schools, teachers and students. Therefore, the implementation process needs to pay attention to the guarantee of teaching environment, improve teachers’ teaching concept and ability, and also need to cultivate students’ independent learning ability in order to promote the effective implementation and development of blended teaching..The results of this study provide a reference for the design of the follow-up high school geography blended teaching, and have important practical significance for promoting the information-based teaching reform of high school geography education. |
