Abstract/Summary:
In December 2016,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed at the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities that ideological and political education work should run through the entire process of education and teaching,so that various courses and ideological and political theory course can go in the same direction to form a synergistic effect.The “General Senior High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition Revised in 2020)”advocated teachers to create real problem situations in teaching,carry out a variety of inquiry activities based on experiments,stimulate students’ interest in chemistry learning,promote the transformation of students’ learning styles,and cultivate students’ innovative spirit and practical ability.PDEODE strategy mainly includes six steps,which are “Predict—Discuss—Explain—Observe—Discuss—Explain”.This strategy takes scenario creation as the first link,exploration as the key activity,and teamwork as the main way,which is applied to chemistry teaching to implement the concept of curriculum ideological and political education and promote the cultivation of students’ scientific spirit,practical ability,good qualities and other aspects.The knowledge of“organic compounds” contains rich ideological and political education resources,which is an important carrier for cultivating and developing students’ ideological and political literacy.Therefore,it is a great significance to carry out the teaching research that applying PDEODE strategy to the teaching of “organic compounds” to penetrate the elements of ideological and political education.With the theoretical support of “human beings’ all-round development theory”,“constructivist view of learning”,“potential curriculum theory” and “conceptual change theory”,the research was carried out by literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and experimental research method.After sorting out and analyzing the relevant literature,the current research status of curriculum ideological and political education and PDEODE strategy at home and abroad were learned about.The bases for the topic selection,purpose and significance,train of thoughts and methods of this research were put forward,and the concept of “curriculum ideological and political education” was defined.The understandings and views of teachers and students and the application status in chemistry teaching in senior one about the concept of curriculum ideological and political education and PDEODE strategy,and students’ interest about chemistry subject were learned by teacher interviews and student questionnaires.Combining with the research status and application situation of the concept of curriculum ideological and political education and PDEODE strategy,the feasibility of applying PDEODE strategy to the teaching of “organic compounds” under the concept of curriculum ideological and political education was analyzed,the ideological and political education resources in the chapter of “organic compounds”were sorted out and summarized.The model of applying PDEODE strategy to the teaching of “organic compounds” under the concept of curriculum ideological and political education was constructed,the implementation steps of the model were explained,and the implementation principles and strategies of the model were put forward.In order to verify the application effect of PDEODE strategy in the teaching of“organic compounds” under the concept of curriculum ideological and political education,three teaching cases of “ethylene”,“ethanol” and “acetic acid” were developed and practiced.The teaching effect was evaluated by analyzing the chemical scores before and after teaching practice,student interviews and teacher interviews.The research results showed that the application of PDEODE strategy in the teaching of “organic compounds” under the concept of curriculum ideological and political education can improve students’ chemical scores,stimulate students’ learning interest,improve students’ scientific inquiry,language expression,logical thinking,problem solving and other abilities,and develop students’ ideological and political literacy such as social responsibility,good quality,dialectical materialism and scientific spirit.
