With the revision and implementation of the new round of curriculum programs and curriculum standards, interdisciplinary learning is integrated into primary and secondary school classrooms to achieve integrated development among disciplines.Language subjects should give full play to the overall nurturing advantages of interdisciplinary learning and guide students to learn and use language in a wide range of learning and life contexts.Explanatory texts contain a variety of textual information and rich interdisciplinary knowledge, which can help students observe life from multiple perspectives, grasp the connections between information, and exercise their interdisciplinary learning skills. The organic integration of the two gives more possibilities for teaching expository texts and poses a greater challenge to front-line teachers. In practice,it is difficult to break the shackles of the "five elements of expository writing" and to implement interdisciplinary learning tasks based on specific genres in the secondary classroom. The purpose of the thesis is to explore the teaching strategies and implementation of the interdisciplinary learning task groups,as well as the endogenous dynamics of the organic integration of the two.The thesis consists of four parts. The first part,Introduction, introduces the origin of the study, the significance of the study, the current status of the study, the research ideas and the research methods. The second part is an overview of the concepts of interdisciplinary learning task clusters and expository texts, and the basis of the combination of expository texts and interdisciplinary learning task clusters. The basis of the combination of the two includes the rich interdisciplinary knowledge contained in expository texts, the common reference to students’ real life, and the comprehensive development of students’ core literacy. In the third part,a survey was conducted to investigate the current situation of secondary school language teachers’ teaching and students’ learning by means of a questionnaire, and a qualitative study of four secondary school language teachers was conducted in conjunction with interviews to understand the current situation. The main problems are the "platter" combination of course content, the difficulty of finding a balance between interdisciplinary and expository teaching, the lack of integration with real-life problems, and the need to improve external support resources. The fourth section analyzes the constraints to interdisciplinary teaching of expository texts in the context of the problems, namely, the subdisciplinary curriculum, the awareness and competence of interdisciplinary teaching, and the importance of interdisciplinary teaching. In the fourth part,we analyze the strategies from three aspects, namely, following the direction of curriculum reform and regulating the overall ecology of the discipline, improving the level of curriculum integration by combining with the actual teaching of expository texts, and focusing on updating the assessment methods to implement the new requirements of curriculum standards. |
