Aggressive behavior refers to an individual’s intentional hostility,injury or destructive behavior towards others.Aggressive behavior will cause great harm to the victim’s physical and mental health,life and property.According to previous studies,environmental factors(e.g.negative life events,family environment),individual internal factors(such as coping style)and other factors will affect individual attack level.This study investigated the impact of negative life events on aggressive behavior of secondary school vocational,and investigated their internal mechanism in the impact of negative life events on Secondary Vocational Students’ aggressive behavior with coping style as the intermediary variable and parental emotional socialization as the regulatory variable.In this study,the adolescent life events scale,aggressive behavior scale,simple coping style questionnaire and parental emotional socialization scale were made into a set of questionnaires.A total of 1151 students from grade 1 to grade 3 of two vocational high schools in Changsha were investigated in class.The results show that:(1)There are no significant differences in gender,grade and whether they are only children.(2)Negative life events,coping styles,parental emotional socialization experienced by secondary vocational students were significantly correlated with aggressive behavior.(3)Negative coping played an intermediary role between negative life events and aggressive behaviour of high school vocational students,and the value of the intermediary effect was 18.609%;The mediating effect of positive coping between negative life events and aggressive behavior is not important.(4)Parental emotional socialization regulates the relationship between negative coping styles and aggressive behavior.Based on the above results,this study draws the following conclusions: secondary vocational students who have more negative life events,use negative coping methods frequently,and feel more parental non supportive emotional upbringing have more aggressive behaviors;Negative life events can not only directly predict the increase of aggressive behavior of secondary vocational students,but also affect aggressive behavior through negative coping styles;Parents’ high support for their children’s emotions will alleviate the impact of negative coping styles on aggressive behavior.Therefore,the level of aggressive behavior of secondary vocational students can be reduced by improving parents’ emotional support for their children and cultivating students’ positive coping styles.
