With the improvement of senior high school students’ cognition of learning life,external environment and the development of self-consciousness,the negative emotional experience brought by negative life events is more profound and lasting,and the negative impact is more obvious.When negative life events occur,senior high school students’ coping choices and specific actions are related to their cognitive ability and emotional regulation ability.As a psychological mechanism for individuals to regulate their emotions,meta mood plays a positive role in senior high school students’ physical and mental health and social adaptation.Previous studies have found that meta mood has a great impact on negative life events and coping styles,but there are few studies on the relationship between the three.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation and characteristics of negative life events,meta mood and coping style of senior high school students,and to explore the relationship between the three and the role of meta mood between them.The researcher selected 785 senior high school students from two different types of senior high schools in Yunnan Province as the research object.Through questionnaire survey and interview,the researcher used the widely recognized adapted version of Adolescent Self-Rating Life events Checklist(Xin Xiuhong,2015),Meta Mood Scale for Middle School Student(Cui Yujie,2010)and Copying Style Scale for Middle School Student(Huang Xiting,2000),After data analysis,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)Current situation and characteristics of negative life events,meta mood and coping styles of senior high school studentsCharacteristics of negative life events: high school students have a low score of negative life events,indicating that high school students have a strong ability to bear negative life events;There are significant differences in gender,grade,single child status,registered residence,academic performance,parents’ educational degrees and educational style.Characteristics of meta mood: high school students’ meta mood score is at a high level as a whole,and they perform well in the three dimensions of expression,recognition and regulation of emotion.Significant differences were found in gender,grade,single child status,registered residence,academic achievement,parental education level and educational method.Characteristics of coping style: high school students’ coping style scores are at a medium level as a whole,and they are more inclined to adopt positive coping style,especially problem-solving coping style.There were significant differences in gender,grade,only child,registered residence,academic achievement,parental education level and educational method.(2)A study on the relationship between negative life events,meta moods and coping styles of senior high school studentsThe correlation study found that negative life events were significantly negatively correlated with meta mood and positive coping style,and positively correlated with negative coping style;meta mood has a significant positive correlation with positive coping styles and negative coping styles,but there is a correlation in all dimensions.Regression study found that negative life events negatively predicted positive coping styles,positively predicted negative coping styles,negative life events negatively predicted meta moods,and meta moods positively predicted positive coping styles.Intermediary test found that meta mood plays a complete intermediary role between negative life events and positive coping styles,and negative life events affect positive coping styles through meta mood.(3)A case study on negative life events,meta moods and coping styles of senior high school studentsSupplementary conclusions on the characteristics of group research:(1)The impact of adaptive and punished life events on high school students is also relatively large.(2)Individuals with high meta-emotional levels are more concerned about their positive emotions and are better at expressing emotions;high school students have better emotional recognition skills;Negative emotions mainly come from the above negative life events.(3)The coping styles most chosen by respondents were problem solving,help seeking and retreat.Conclusions on influencing factors:(1)Different types of negative life events have different effects;(2)The factors affecting meta mood are: paying attention to negative emotion,confusion and other people’s emotion;Recognize other people’s emotions through their looks;Better emotional expression and unreasonable emotional expression;The direction and inducement of emotional change;The degree of emotional recovery.(3)There are different reasons for individuals to choose different coping styles.Conclusions on measures:(1)There are more negative coping styles;(2)Individuals have different levels of meta-emotions and different ways of regulating emotions;(3)Individuals have different views on different coping styles.Supplementary conclusions on the relationship between the three:(1)negative life events affect the emotional state of individuals;(2)Negative life events have a warning effect on coping style;(3)The role of meta-emotions is reflected in the recovery of emotions,and insufficient attention to their own emotions,misrepresentation methods,and lack of regulation methods will lead to poor coping effects.Based on the results of the current situation and relationship studies and case studies,the researcher put forward corresponding educational countermeasures and suggestions.
