Study On Present Situation And Development Strategy Of Mass Participation In Winter Ice-sports In Beijing

Along with China’s rapid economic and cultural development, Beijingis experiencing various changes on lots of aspects. The life of citizenschanges so fast and constantly. People begin to give more attention totheir physical fitness while pursuing material life. The Ice-sports isbecoming accepted as a typical winter leisure form with entertainment andfitness, especially after the Chinese Olympic Committee formally putforward a bid to host the2022Winter Olympics to IOC. The BeijingMunicipal Government and relevant departments has responded positively,and the more important is that people participate to the ice sports withgreat zeal. Beijing as the capital has a long history for the ice sportsdevelopment and a large number of winter sports enthusiasts. Therefore,I hope to analyze the status of ice sports in Beijing and provide somerelevant suggestions for improving, so as to help conduct the ice sportsbetter through this comprehensive investigation for the present situationand development countermeasure of Beijing ice sports citizens.Combining the present status of ice sports involvement for Beijingcitizens, I design the questionnaires carefully, then give them out andrecover them on site. After that I have reached the followingconclusions.1.The male’s number of Beijing citizens who participate intothe ice sports is more than the female’s, and main participating peopleare students, or middle and high income groups. Their motivation isprimarily to enhance physical fitness and health promotion.2.The Beijingcitizens have showed so much enthusiasm to host the Winter Olympics, andmost of them do know about the ice sports. They generally consider thatthe ice sports could bring a very good fitness, but there is a certainrisk as well.3.Beijing has rich resources of ice rink, which are mainoutdoor natural ice rink, and people mostly participate in some nationalskating events.4.At present, there are some plights of ice sportsdevelopment we are facing in Beijing. Like some participants are lackingof the safety consciousness, their environmental awareness needs to bestrengthened. Meanwhile, ice rink resources hardware flaws are limitedand the software needs to be upgraded, less instructor’ s instruction,ignoring the safety rules and the problem such as the lack for varietyof rink activities etc. Here are some development countermeasures proposed after I refer to somerelated materials and consult some professional experts, and combine myown ideas. The rink offers a variety of fitness services; with the helpof the bid for the Winter Olympics, ice sports publicity, let the massesto participate in ice sports normalization; ice sports instructorsenhance relevant professional ability, play the guiding role of fitness;improve the rink software construction, the participants into love well;strengthen the operation mechanism of regular ice rink, the security inthe first place.At the same time, learn from good experience in developingthe European Ice Sports City, Chinese and Western a line with thecharacteristics of China’s ice sports development road.
