| Junior high school is a crucial period for the development of youth personality and future career.Parents’ rearing style and junior high school students’ individual personality all have important influence on their future planning.In this study,junior high school students’ future planning includes two dimensions:future education and career planning.Parenting is studied from the perspective of parental psychological flexibility,which includes three dimensions: cognitive dissociation,committed action and acceptance,and self-supporting personality includes two dimensions: interpersonal self-reliance and personal self-reliance.Two studies were conducted to explore the relationship among junior high school students’ future planning,parental flexibility and self-reliant personality.The first purpose of this study is to explore the differences in the basic characteristics of demographic variables of junior middle school students’ future planning,parental psychological flexibility and self-reliant personality,and the relationships among them.Using the questionnaire method,the subjects were 2034 junior middle school students from the first,second and third grades.They filled in the "Adolescent Future Planning Questionnaire" and "Adolescent Selfsupporting Personality Inventory"(SSPS--AS),and their parents filled in the "Parenting psychological Flexibility Questionnaire"(PPFQ)for questionnaire survey,to explore the relationship between the three and their internal mechanism.In study 2,12 junior high school students were interviewed by case interview method.In order to further grasp the current situation of junior high school students’ cognition of future planning and the interaction between junior high school students and their parents,further grasp junior high school students’ thoughts on the coordinated development of general occupation through the interview,which is helpful to guide junior high school students’ future planning and personality cultivation,and propose corresponding educational countermeasures to help junior high school students form independent personality.So as to improve the level of junior high school students’ future planning.The research results mainly include the following four aspects:First,junior high school students’ future planning is generally above the average level,and there are significant differences in whether they are class cadres and grades.The psychological flexibility of parents is slightly higher than the average level on the whole,and there are significant differences in the age of parents,education level and monthly family income.Independent personality is above the average level,and there are significant differences in whether to serve as class leader,grade and achievement ranking.Secondly,the flexibility of parenting psychology is positively correlated with future educational planning,future career planning,interpersonal independence and personal independence on the acceptance dimension,negatively correlated with future educational planning,interpersonal independence and personal independence on the cognitive dissociation and commitment action dimension,and positively correlated with future educational planning and future career planning on the interpersonal independence and personal independence.Thirdly,the flexible acceptance dimension of parenting psychology,interpersonal self-reliance and personal self-reliance have significant positive predictive effects on the sub-dimensions of future planning of junior middle school students,namely,future education planning and future career planning.The flexible temperament of parenting psychology(cognitive dissociation,committed action)has a significant negative predictive effect on the sub-dimensions of future planning(future education planning and future career planning)of junior middle school students.Fourthly,interpersonal self-reliance plays a partial mediating role between acceptance and future educational planning.Interpersonal self-reliance partially mediates the relationship between acceptance and future career planning.Personal self-reliance plays a partial mediating role between acceptance and future educational planning;Personal self-reliance partially mediates the relationship between acceptance and future career planning.Through this study,the following three suggestions are put forward from the aspects of junior high school students’ future planning,parenting and junior high school students’ personality cultivation:First,from the perspective of school education,we should attach importance to the cultivation and education of junior high school students’ personal future planning,help junior high school students establish future planning according to their own personality characteristics,effectively apply psychological career courses to classroom education and teaching,and effectively guide junior high school students’ future career and life planning.Secondly,in terms of parental rearing,rational guidance should be given to the future career and education planning according to the children’s character trends,interests and hobbies,and positive and harmonious parent-child communication should be carried out.Thirdly,from the perspective of junior high school students’ self-education,individuals can learn self-analysis and self-acceptance,form independent personality,make efforts to independently plan for the future,stimulate internal motivation,and promote healthy self-growth. |
