Early childhood is the most vigorous period of human development.The growth and development characteristics of preschool children aged 3 to 6 years are different from those of children and adults of other ages.In addition to adequate nutrients,there is also a greater need for reasonable and balanced intake of nutrients.However,affected by different environments,children often suffer from malnutrition during their growth.Kindergarten is another important place for children to live and learn in addition to the family.The nutrition and diet of kindergarten directly affect the growth and development of children.In order to study the impact of kindergarten nutrition catering on the growth and development of children,and provide data basis for the practice of kindergarten nutrition catering,this study selected four kindergartens in Huantai County,Zibo City as samples based on the level of kindergarten and whether they are located in urban or rural areas.Among them,A and B kindergartens are urban kindergartens in the county,which are demonstration kindergartens and Class I kindergartens respectively;Kindergartens C and D are rural community kindergartens,belonging to Class II and Class III kindergartens.A dietary survey was conducted to analyze the correlation between their nutritional diet and children’s growth and development,and the relationship between nutritional diet and children’s development was preliminarily studied through nutritional intervention.The main findings are as follows:(1)All four kindergartens have different levels of awareness of nutrition and catering.The study of the recipes of the four kindergartens found that the four kindergartens have basic subjective awareness in terms of energy,three macronutrients and nine kinds of food intake,and they all realize the importance of nutrition for children’s growth and development to varying degrees,and they also tend to carry out "nutritional catering" in operation.(2)There are different degrees of problems in the nutrition of the four kindergartens.First of all,the level of nutrition meal preparation is insufficient.Secondly,there are certain loopholes in the food hygiene and management supervision of the four kindergartens.Finally,some children in kindergartens have different levels of malnutrition and malnutrition.(3)Nutrition intervention has improved the nutritional status of children to a certain extent.The correlation analysis between the nutrition matching and the growth and development of children in four kindergartens shows that the nutrition matching in kindergartens has a positive impact on children’s development.(4)Through a horizontal comparison of the awareness and development level of the four kindergartens in ABCD,it is found that the awareness and level of the nutrition of the county kindergartens A and B are higher than that of the rural kindergartens C and D.
