With the continuous improvement of China's economic and social development level, nutrition improvement measures such as children's nutrition package, egg milk plan, free lunch and so on have been introduced all over the country. After the implementation, the nutritional status of children and adolescents has been improved, especially in rural areas. However, due to the constraints of unbalanced and uncoordinated economic and social development, malnutrition among students in poor rural areas in particular is still a serious problem.Xiangxi is located in the wuling mountains in the northwest of hunan province and the east of the yunnan-guizhou plateau.Located in wuling mountain area, xiangxi is one of the most poverty-stricken areas supported by the state, with backward economic development, weak transportation infrastructure and low living standard. Objective:to understand the nutritional status and growth and development of students in xiangxi rural schools before and after the implementation of"nutritional meal between classes",and to compare and analyze the differences in the height, weight, sitting height, chest circumference and skin fold thickness of students in xiangxi rural schools before and after the implementation of"nutritional meal between classes".A comparative analysis was made on the difference between the implementation of"nutritional meals between classes"and the non-implementation of"nutritional meals between classes"in the rural schools of xiangxi. It provides a basis and reference for the better implementation of"nutritional meals between classes"in other areas of xiangxi. Methods:random sampling method, random experimental school 2(ancient zhangs, jishou county red stone forest nine-year compulsory schools creek)of primary and secondary schools, schools 2(jishou village discharge in primary and secondary schools, flowers through county nine-year compulsory school),the implementation of"feeding"between the former measuring total of 1581 people, after the implementation of"feeding"between the measured total of 1445 people. With the informed consent of the students, the height, weight, sitting height, chest circumference and skin fold thickness were measured, and the nutritional status of the students was evaluated in accordance with the malnutrition screening standards for school-age children and adolescents issued by the national health and family planning commission(WS/t456-2014)and the screening standards for overweight and obesity among school-age children and adolescents(WS/t586-2018).Excel2018 software was used for data entry and review.SPSS24.0 software was used for data statistical analysis.Frequency, mean, standard deviation, percentage and other related indicators were used for description.Results:(1)growth and development:before the implementation of"nutrition meal between classes",there was no significant difference in height, weight, chest circumference, sitting height and skinfold thickness between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05);after the implementation of"nutrition meal between classes",there was significant difference in height, weight, sitting height and chest circumference between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.05);In the aspect of skin fold thickness, there was significant difference between the boys and girls in the experimental group and the control group.(2)nutritional status:malnutrition and over nutrition of rural school students in Xiangxi exist at the same time, mainly due to growth retardation. The growth retardation and emaciation rates of boys in different age groups in the experimental group are lower than those in the control group(the chi square and P values of growth retardation and after implementation emaciation in the experimental group and the control group,respectively;?~2=4.835,P=0.029,?~2=4.162,P=0.039,?~2=4.419,P=0.033),P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant;the growth retardation and emaciation rates of girls in different age groups in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(respectively, the chi square and P values of growth retardation and after the implementation emaciation in the experimental group and the control group;?~2=4.416,P=0.036,?~2=5.823,P=0.020,?~2=3.957,P=0.041),P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant;the implementation of"nutrition meal between classes"was implemented”Compared with the control group, the rate of overweight and obesity in the experimental group increased slightly, especially in the overweight group. Conclusion:after the implementation of"nutrition meal between classes",the growth and development level of students in Xiangxi rural school has been improved, the malnutrition of students has been improved, and the excess nutrition has been increased. Therefore, the implementation of"nutrition meal between classes"needs to be carried out all the time.At the same time, the school should add the important knowledge of nutrition to college students to form a good habit of living and eating.Students should strengthen physical exercise, improve malnutrition, reduce the incidence of overweight and obesity, and better promote the healthy and happy growth of students.
