| Through core strength training, the muscles of the body’s core can be strengthened, enabling the body to maintain a stable center of gravity during movement and achieve coordinated limb movements. This new form of strength training that combines rehabilitation and fitness with competitive sports was introduced earlier in many sports in China, such as swimming, gymnastics, and kayaking, and was subsequently introduced to all competitive sports events after 2008.Numerous studies by domestic experts, scholars, and coaching teams have shown that core strength training plays an important role in preventing sports injuries, promoting core stability, and improving specialized abilities. However, there is insufficient research attention in the field of long jump, particularly in terms of improving athletes’ specialized qualities through core strength training.Additionally, there is a need for further exploration into the functional aspects of core strength, especially in how to address the impact of inadequate core strength, and how it can combine with other factors to cause problems such as excessive forward rotation of the body after takeoff, loss of balance, and insufficient forward extension of the lower leg upon landing.Furthermore,in implementing core strength training, there is a need to combine it with traditional strength training to achieve optimal results. Most core strength training programs tend to focus more on fitness effects, and less on emphasizing the value of combining core strength training with traditional strength training, which limits the effectiveness of core strength training applications. In the long jump event, there are still many issues with the application of core strength. In order to address these issues, this study used literature review, expert interviews, and experimental methods, selecting 20 male second-level long jump athletes as experimental subjects to explore effective methods and means of applying core strength training to improve the specialized skills and performance of long jump athletes. The experimental subjects were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, with 10 participants in each group. The experimental group received training combining traditional strength training with core strength training, while the control group received only traditional strength training. Before and after the experiment, the athletes’ jumping ability, speed, core stability, and strength indicators were tested, and the data were compared and analyzed. The purpose of this study is to explore, through statistical analysis of experimental data, how to maximize the improvement of the specialized skills and performance of long jump athletes, and provide new ideas and references for related research areas. After 12 weeks of experiment, compared with the control group that only conducted traditional strength training, participants in the experimental group showed more significant improvement in the special quality index and special performance, which indicates that the core strength training can effectively improve the long jumper’s special quality, but there are differences in the degree of influence on different special quality index. The core strength exercises in three different stages designed in this experiment mainly stimulate and strengthen the contractile force of the core muscle group to improve the athletes’ core stability and body control ability. This helps to improve the jumpers’ take-off ability and run-up ability, and further improve the athletes’ air control ability and stability after take-off,which is conducive to them to better play their physical coordination and flexibility,so as to achieve a longer full jump distance. Therefore, for the long jumper’s training, the core strength training is an indispensable link. |
