Since the founding of New China,China’s protection of minors has continued to advance,and so far China has established a protection system for minors with wide coverage,high popularity and relatively complete system.In the current environment where the society attaches great importance to the physical and mental health of minors and looks forward to creating a good living environment for minors and helping them thrive,the special group of minor children of drug addicts needs more attention.Most of the minor children of drug addicts face the problem of no guardianship and social discrimination,and even label them as "stigmatized",which is mainly manifested in the lack of understanding and care of minor children who use drugs,and the lack of peer support,which makes them sensitive and withdrawn,closed self-personality traits,which will not only make it difficult for them to integrate into society,but also imitate their parents and embark on the road of no return of drugs.The subject of this article,Xiao Zhu,is a minor child of a drug-addicted family in Chongqing,whose parents are divorced,her father’s drug-related activities,and her grandfather’s violent behavior have caused her to be extremely insecure in life,withdrawn,socially fearful,difficult to integrate into peer groups,and daily addiction to the online virtual world to find emotional comfort.Recently,Xiao Zhu’s father was again investigated by the police for drug trafficking,and her grandfather’s violence against her intensified,and these sudden circumstances made her growing up worse and worse.Therefore,in response to the growth dilemma of the client Xiaozhu,based on the family system theory and empowerment theory,the social worker decided to intervene in her psychological,behavioral,family and other support networks to help her overcome the current difficulties.First of all,from the client’s personal point of view,the social worker first evaluates her psychologically,understands the source of psychological problems,helps her overcome psychological trauma,enhances her sense of security,and improves self-awareness,so as to cultivate interpersonal skills,correct her deviant behavior,and assist her to eliminate the labelled cognition of her by the surrounding people.Secondly,from the perspective of family relationships,social workers mainly use family system theory to repair the tense family relationship of the client,explore the problems of the family relationship,help the client communicate effectively with the family,and strive to obtain the family support of the divorced mother,solve the violent behavior of the client’s grandfather,and improve the ability of the client’s grandparents to raise from generation to generation.Thirdly,from the perspective of other social support,social workers choose to cooperate with the school to change the attitude of the class towards the client through the help of the school and teachers,encourage children of the same age to actively socialize with them,and create a good school growth atmosphere for the client.Social workers should also play the role of resource linkers,carry out community education work,increase community publicity,change the labelled cognition of community residents,actively advocate the implementation of relevant policies to protect minor children of drug-addicted families,and enhance social support,so as to effectively respond to the difficulties faced by clients.Finally,the social worker summarized and reflected on the practical process of the growth dilemma of the minor children of drug addicts.In this practical process,social workers should clarify the role of social workers,and integrate theory into practice when solving problems.How to solve such children’s problems in the future,social workers have summed up several experiences: actively mobilize the initiative and initiative of clients in the practical process,and avoid the occurrence of social workers’ large-scale problems;At the same time,it is necessary to collect a wide range of information,adopt different measures for different groups,integrate multiple resources,obtain the support of multiple subjects for such groups,establish and improve the protection mechanism for the minor children of drug addicts,and jointly escort their healthy growth.
