With the deepening of economic reform and the readjustment of the pattern of benefit distribution, people’s pace of life is accelerating and the pressure of life is increasing. In recent years, the number and scale of mental illness patients in China have shown a rising trend. At present, the biotherapy mode of closed-end treatment in the field of mental health can not meet the current development trend. Therefore, the intervention of social work in emotional counseling of convalescent mental patients is also an important measure to protect the legitimate rights and interests of patients. This paper mainly conducted in-depth interviews with ten recovering homeless mental patients to find out the emotional problems, manifestations and causes of emotional problems of recovering homeless mental patients during temporary assistance, and then screened out two representative recovering homeless mental patients from these ten recovering homeless mental patients. The cognitive behavior scale was used to detect that the emotional cognition level of the two clients was at a low to medium level. On the basis of rational emotive therapy and systematic desensitization, the two clients were respectively provided with case services. The main purpose of the case was to help the clients have a correct cognition of their own bad emotions and to help them relieve their bad emotions. In this study, two patients had different emotional problems respectively,so social workers carried out targeted intervention in case services. For client H’s pessimism and world-misanthrope,rational emotive therapy is mainly used to explore the causes of client H’s pessimism and world-misanthrope as well as irrational beliefs.Social workers intervene in client H’s emotional problems from five stages and guide client to find out and correct his own irrational beliefs by using skills such as role exchange and debate,so as to correct client’s irrational beliefs. The purpose of channeling bad emotions. For the intervention of the fear and anxiety of the client N,systematic desensitization method was used to conduct five-stage intervention for the fear and anxiety of the client on drug diseases.By assisting the client N to desensitize the fear and anxiety situation step by step, the client N would no longer have the fear and anxiety on the disease and drugs. Finally, after the case intervention, the case work intervention was evaluated and reflected. Finally, through the comparative analysis of the emotional relief effect of the service objects with different emotional problems,it was found that the case work intervention can relieve the adverse emotional problems of the recovering wandering mental patients, and can help the clients to correct the irrational and systematic desensitization of fear.In order to further summarize the practice of case work intervening in the emotional counseling of recovering homeless mental patients,I hope to accumulate some practical experience for the research in this field through my own efforts, and call on the public to pay more attention to the special vulnerable group of recovering homeless mental patients and reduce the discrimination and prejudice against them. |
