Casework Intervention In Family Plight Of Patients With Mental Disorders ——A Case Study Of The Family Of A Patient In The W Mental Rehabilitation Hospital In Inner Mongolia

In recent years,due to the changes in the social environment and the increase in various life pressures and living costs,the number of patients suffering from various mental disorders in my country is increasing.focus on.Mental disorders rank first in the total burden of disease in my country,accounting for about 20% of the total burden of disease.According to research data from the Mental Health Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention,as early as the early 21 st century,the number of people suffering from various mental disorders in China reached more than 100 million.A study showed that,excluding dementia,the prevalence of six major mental disorders in China was 9.3%.With the development of social diversification,families of patients with various mental disorders are facing considerable pressure and difficulties,and more problems have arisen in the internal structure of families.Based on this,it is particularly urgent to help the patient’s family to relieve their predicament and pressure,and to adjust the internal structure,which is also a hidden demand under the background of the rapid development of modern society.First,in order to understand the dilemmas and needs faced by the families of patients with mental disorders,the author selected the family members of 5 patients with mental disorders treated in W City Mental Rehabilitation Hospital in Inner Mongolia to interview,and then collected relevant data through exchanges with doctors and visits to wards.The interview results show that families of mentally ill patients are generally faced with difficulties from disease treatment and rehabilitation,physical,psychological,economic and social aspects.Secondly,under the guidance of the dominant perspective theory and family system theory,using participatory observation and semi-structured interview as research methods to conduct casework intervention research on the plight of the families of mentally disabled patients.Finally,it reflects and summarizes the casework intervention in the families of patients with mental disorders: the families of patients with mental disorders are facing difficulties in many aspects,the current domestic focus is on the patient’s disease itself,and the family behind the patient is neglected.Families of people with mental disorders are not getting enough.Through this research,the author hopes to promote the development of social work intervention in the families of patients with mental disorders,help patients’ families get rid of difficulties,relieve pressure in life,establish confidence in future life,and enhance resilience,so as to promote the improvement of patients with mental disorders.Recover and live well,and also provide reference for future research or services.
