Autism,as a widespread developmental disorder,is rarely completely cured, even through medication or rehabilitation training. In recent years, the autism population in China has shown a trend of increasing year by year, especially among children.Special conditions such as withdrawn personality, social disorders, and emotional indifference also greatly affect the social and other daily lives of autistic patients, and depend on the long-term and stable care of guardians. Moreover, influenced by the division of gender roles, mothers’ parenting responsibilities and pressures on their children are correspondingly greater.Especially in the family structure of autistic patients,in the absence of social support, the parenting pressures borne by mothers increase exponentially, and feelings of helplessness often accompany them.In this study, starting from a social work perspective of helping others and self-help,and guided by gender theory, the focus is on exploring and analyzing the intervention path and effectiveness of case work methods in parental stress among single mothers with autism. On the one hand, through early communication and negotiation,it was found that the case owner had multiple psychological and social stress issues when caring for autistic children, and fully understood the needs of the case owner. On the other hand, guided by theories such as social support and gender, based on in-depth exploration of the needs of the case owner, the goal and specific implementation measures for this case work intervention were clarified. At the same time, with the joint cooperation and efforts of both parties,Successfully helped the client effectively alleviate parental pressure. In addition, during the course of this professional service,we summarized and reflected on the effectiveness and problems of the service process, explored more effective and feasible intervention paths, and conducted service evaluation activities to verify and analyze the effectiveness of social support theory in intervening with parental stress among single mothers with autism,And highly affirmed the importance of strengthening social support systems and professional assistance to relieve economic and other pressures on mothers of autistic children. In addition,it summarizes the shortcomings of this intervention work and the research topic, and proposes reasonable solutions to practical problems such as how mothers of autistic children actively fulfill their parenting responsibilities, and how social service institutions can intervene in families of autistic children through multiple channels. |
