Autonomy is the basis of children’s creativity development.The cultivation of children’s autonomy has become a new focus of preschool education research at present,and the development of children’s autonomy has been attached importance by all levels of kindergartens.Autonomy is an important learning quality for children.Teachers should provide healthy and rich living and activity environment for children to meet their autonomy development.Walking activity is a part of a day’s life in kindergarten.It takes a short time,but its unique autonomy,openness and randomness play an irreplaceable role in promoting children’s physical and mental health and the development of children’s autonomy.It is based on the problems of high teacher control,lack of plan and goal and single form in the current kindergarten walking activities.Therefore,it is of practical significance to study the activity of walking to promote the development of children’s autonomy.This study uses action research method to compile observation table and interview outline on the basis of combing and analyzing relevant literature.37 children in class four in a kindergarten were taken as the research objects,37 observation tables were recorded and the teachers of the class were interviewed in depth.Through the analysis of data and interview content,we tried to understand the status quo and problems of the development of the autonomy of walking activities of the children in this class,and discussed with the members of the action group to develop an action research plan.According to the action research paradigm of Kemis,the exam ples of the field research stage,practice improvement stage and deepening and upgrading stage are discussed and analyzed,reflected,summarized and adjusted,and the plan of the next stage is formulated.The spiral research is carried out to explore effective problem-solving strategies.Through the analysis and comparison of observation table data,the following research results are obtained:1.The overall level of children’s autonomy development in class four walking activities has been improved;2.Children gradually learn to rely on their own strength to do things;3.The development of children’s self-control depends on external rules,constraints and reward mechanisms;4.Children’s self-assertion has been significantly developed.Through three rounds of action research,the following suggestions are given:1.Teacher learning life education theory is the basis of studying the development of children’s autonomy;2.Example demonstration is a good strategy to promote the development of children’s autonomy through walking;3.Exploring the organization form of walking activity is an important way to promote the development of children’s autonomy;4.The reward mechanism in walking activity is a beneficial method to promote the development of children’s autonomy;5.Sharing and communication in walking activities is an effective means to promote the development of children’s autonomy.
