Teaching culture refers to the value system and behavioral norms that teachers construct,maintain and follow together with students in classroom teaching.In February 2019,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC)and the State Council issued China Education Modernization 2035,which puts forward eight basic concepts for promoting education modernization such as paying more attention to moral education first and comprehensive development,and calls for the development of quality education with Chinese characteristics and advanced levels in the world,emphasizing "The promulgation of the new curriculum in 2022 marks the formal entry of China’s education into the era of core literacy.How to implement the policies and concepts into classroom teaching? To solve this problem,it is necessary to start not only from the technical level,but also to explore deeply from the perspective of teaching culture.However,a large number of studies have pointed out that there are many challenges to the transformation of teaching and learning culture in China.In this context,this study explores the current development of teaching culture in elementary classrooms based on theories of teaching presence,core literacy,and cultural integration,and proposes countermeasures to address the problems.Based on the connotation and characteristics of teaching and culture,this study interprets elementary classroom teaching culture as a value system and behavioral norms expressed by teachers in four aspects: teaching goal setting,teaching content selection and organization,teaching process and context implementation,and teaching evaluation,and uses them as the basis for the development of the elementary classroom teaching culture questionnaire.The study used a large-scale questionnaire survey,classroom observation and teacher interviews to investigate the current situation of teaching culture in elementary school classrooms by combining qualitative research with quantitative research.After analyzing the data and information,it was found that there are problems in all four dimensions of elementary school classroom teaching culture,and further summarized the development status of elementary school classroom teaching culture in the context of core literacy as follows: the culture of teaching goal setting still presents a certain degree of object-oriented,the culture of teaching content selection and implementation presents a fidelity orientation,the culture of teaching process and context implementation still presents a teaching-centered characteristic,and the culture of teaching evaluation still presents a score-centered characteristic.The culture of teaching evaluation still has a tendency to be score-oriented.Based on cultural analysis,this study considers the current classroom teaching culture as the origin and establishes a "spatio-temporal coordinate" system to deeply explore the influencing factors of teaching culture: on the one hand,the six demographic variables related to teachers are used as the entry point to explore the co-temporal factors influencing the current elementary school classroom teaching culture,and it is found that social culture,school culture and teacher group culture have a greater influence on the current elementary school classroom teaching culture;on the other hand,through the method of literature research to sort out the traditional Chinese cultural characteristics and analyze the ephemeral influencing factors of the current elementary school classroom teaching culture,we found that the national value orientation characterized by the reverence for pragmatism and authority has had a profound influence on the formation and development of China’s traditional teaching culture,and further influences on the current teaching culture of elementary school classrooms through cultural autonomy.Based on the above analysis of the current situation,problems and influencing factors,this study proposes targeted strategies for constructing a literacy-oriented teaching culture at two levels: at the macro level,we should promote socio-cultural integration,improve teachers’ literacy,promote regional synergy,construct a literacy campus and form a core literacy learning community,and provide the construction of a literacy-oriented teaching culture including social culture,regional culture,At the micro level,it is recommended to start from two aspects,namely value system and behavioral norms,to build a culture of teaching goal setting for overall human cultivation,a culture of teaching content selection and organization for the unification of subject concepts,a culture of teaching process and situation implementation for life orientation,and a culture of teaching evaluation oriented to real problem solving ability,so as to promote a culture of literacy-oriented teaching.The effective generation of elementary school classroom teaching culture in the context of the new era. |
