Abstract/Summary:
Career ambition refers to an individual’s aspirations and expectations for a specific profession and position. It is not only an external manifestation of an individual’s intrinsic career value pursuit, but also an important internal driving force that determines their career choices.Occupational burnout refers to the extreme negative reaction of an individual when they are unable to cope well with the pressure of their work.It is a state of emotional, attitudinal, and behavioral exhaustion that individuals experience over a long period of time. There is a connection and mutual influence between the two.Previous studies have shown that the decrease in career aspirations leads to an increase in the degree of professional burnout.Coach burnout affects their work and life, and has become an urgent problem to be solved in the work process of coaches.Social youth training institutions are the main way to cultivate football reserve talents. The coaching level of coaches in social youth training institutions is influenced by professional aspirations and burnout, which in turn affects the healthy development of young players. However, research on the professional aspirations and burnout of full-time football coaches in social youth training institutions is still relatively rare both domestically and internationally. This article uses the literature review method to collect and analyze relevant literature, and ultimately uses the EPL Professional Aspiration Scale and the Athletic Sports Coach Job Burnout Scale to investigate 167 full-time football coaches from 20 social football youth training institutions in Nanning,Guilin,Beihai,Liuzhou, and Guigang. The relationship between their professional aspirations and job burnout levels is analyzed, and the following conclusions are drawn:Professional aspirations and burnout levels of full-time football coaches are relatively ideal, and knowledge exhaustion is the most obvious manifestation in the four dimensions of professional burnout; The threedimensional dimensions of career aspirations mainly focus on professional and entrepreneurial aspirations, while management aspirations are relatively low. There is no significant difference in the professional aspirations and burnout levels of full-time football coaches among different genders, ages, educational backgrounds, teaching years, majors, teaching regions, marital status, and teaching levels. However,at different coach levels, the depersonalization scores of full-time football coaches holding B-level or above are significantly higher than those of other coach levels and full-time football coaches without coach certificates;Under different monthly incomes,in terms of emotional expenditure,full-time football coaches with monthly incomes below 3000 yuan are significantly higher than full-time football coaches with monthly incomes above 4001 yuan. There is a significant negative correlation between professional aspirations and burnout of full-time football coaches(P<0.01).The stronger the coaches’ professional aspirations, the lower their sense of professional burnout; The correlation coefficient between professional ambition and job burnout is the highest among career aspirations(r=-0.328).
