Since the reform and opening up,with the increasing demand for labor in the Chinese urban economy,a large number of young and middle-aged rural workers have been pouring into cities and towns to work.Meanwhile, due to the constraints of the“dual structure system” and the “household registration system”,there are rural “three left-behind” groups under special back ground.Existing studies on stress resistance mainly focus on children, teenagers, college students, migrant workers and other groups, and most of them belong to the theoretical level of sociology, education and psychology, while the social work practice research on the stress resistance of rural left-behind women is relatively insufficient. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to use the practical method of group social work to explore the problem of improving the resilience of rural left-behind women.Taking the left-behind women in C village as the research object and guided by the theory of resilience and the vantage point, this paper focuses on whether the group social work can help improve the resilience of left-behind women. The results showed that: first of all,the subjects’ stress tolerance level was generally lower than the medium level, mainly due to the following reasons: insufficient self-knowledge,poor interpersonal communication skills, difficulty in emotional management and lack of social support;secondly, guided by the theory of resilience and the theory of advantage perspective, the author evaluated the needs of the clients through semi-structured interview and the resilience table of left-behind women, and found that the needs of left-behind women are mainly the needs of family love,self-development and good living environment. Finally, according to the assessment results,a service plan to improve the resilience of left-behind women was developed, and six group social work services were conducted.Social workers carried out activities such as helping members to explore their own potential, cultivating self-help awareness, learning interpersonal communication skills and expanding their social support. The resilience of group members was improved to varying degrees. That is,group social work can improve the resilience of left-behind women. However, due to the limitations of the author’s ability and practical experience, there are still some deficiencies in the paper, and I hope to obtain the corrections of experts and scholars.
