| Experimental teaching plays an important role in teaching activities in primary and secondary schools and can help students develop abilities such as rigorous logic,scientific thinking,and exploratory consciousness.According to the "General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" proposed core competencies for the geography discipline,experimental teaching is one of the important teaching methods for implementing these competencies.Experimental teaching can enhance the intuitiveness of teaching by clearly demonstrating complex geographic phenomena and processes,thereby stimulating students’ interest in learning,strengthening their learning motivation,cultivating their hands-on and logical thinking abilities,and deepening their understanding and mastery of natural geographic principles,laws,and processes.In teaching practice,focusing on designing high school natural geography experimental teaching cases can help optimize the teaching and evaluation methods of geography teachers,improve the practical ability of experimental teaching,promote the integration of various subjects in basic education,expand the methods and content scope of interdisciplinary teaching,and improve students’ scientific thinking and comprehensive quality.This article first reviews and analyzes relevant literature to clarify the principles,steps,and content of natural geography experimental teaching design,and explains the key points and difficulties of natural geography experimental teaching design.Second,using "Earth’s movement and its geographical significance" as the theme in the "General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)",natural geography experimental teaching design is carried out,including curriculum standards,student situations,textbook analysis,experimental equipment design,improvement and production,writing computational programs to construct digital experimental models,and evaluation plan design.Third,through teaching practice,various evaluation methods such as experimental records,experimental reports,evaluation scales,and test papers are used to record and provide feedback on the experimental teaching process and results.Finally,methods such as case analysis,comparative analysis,and statistical analysis are used to evaluate and analyze experimental teaching,and the significance of diversified experimental teaching evaluation methods and precautions for using this method are discussed based on the evaluation results and analysis.The main conclusions drawn from the evaluation results and analysis are that experimental teaching is beneficial for students to form repetitive recognition of the development and changes of geographical phenomena,achieve the learning objectives of understanding and mastering complex geographic phenomena,processes,and principles;situational visualization of geographic processes helps enhance students’ spatial imagination and logical thinking abilities,and helps students clearly describe complex geographic phenomena,processes,and principles in language;diversified experimental teaching evaluation methods are helpful for testing and improving students’ mastery of knowledge,and its function has been expanded from evaluation and testing to promoting.PTA scale method is one of the important evaluation methods in experimental teaching,which can reflect the students’ learning status more realistically and make targeted diagnosis. |
