The new geography curriculum reform has changed the previous teaching mode,emphasizing students' principal position and learning autonomy and attaching importance to the cultivation of interest and active participation.The reform of the new curriculum correct the phenomenon of cramming teaching and passive acceptance of learning in examination-oriented education,guiding students to actively participate in the classroom,explore cooperation and communication,and independently carry out inquiry learning.This means that the traditional direct indoctrination learning mode is on the way to the rapid development of independent inquiry.Self-made teaching aids enable students to participate in the design and production process,which can personally demonstrate the teaching aids.Students become the main body of learning and play an unparalleled role in the ability.of mastering knowledgeBased on the review of relevant literature,this study defines the relevant concepts,investigates and analyses the difficulties and causes of the teaching of "Earth Movement" by means of questionnaires to senior high school geography teachers.Finally,taking "Earth Movement" as the subject,it breaks through the teaching difficulties of "Earth Movement" by using self-made teaching aids in the form of experiments,and uses testing methods and questionnaires to prove the teaching effect.The research shows that self-made teaching is good for improving students' academic performance,students' interest in geography learning,and the atmosphere of the classroom,giving full play to students' subjectivity,cultivating students' spatial thinking ability and enhancing students' knowledge mastery.
