Case Work Involved In The Practical Study On The Improvement Of Father-Son Relationship In "Widowed Parenting" Family

Nowadays,the phenomenon of "widower parenting" has attracted widespread attention in society and has become a hot topic in family education practice.Different from single parent rearing and intergenerational rearing,the core of this phenomenon revolves around the imbalance of the division of labor in family education between parents.With the continuous development of the unhealthy family structure,the significant absence of one parent in the family will bring negative effects on the individual development of children.The significant absent party is usually the father,so the maintenance and improvement of father-son relationship has aroused a wide public discussion.This paper takes a typical "widowed parenting" family in L City as the research object,and uses the method of case work to explore ways to improve the relationship between father and son and adjust the division of labor in the family from the current situation and needs of the family.Based on domestic and foreign scholars’ research on "widowed parenting" and father-son relationship,this paper collected data through interviews,participatory observation and questionnaire,and found that the family had problems in father’s involvement in parenting and father-son attachment.According to the survey results and the needs of the service objects,under the guidance of family system theory and attachment theory,the author intervenes to serve the family with the theme of improving the father’s ability to participate in parenting,improving the estrangement between father and son,and reshaping the family intimate relationship,and completes the goal of case work.Finally,the process evaluation,effectiveness evaluation and self-evaluation of the casework were carried out,and the results proved that the intervention of the case had achieved some results.The father’s parenting ability,father-son relationship and family intimate relationship had all changed to some extent,which provided practical experience for the father to participate in family parenting.The author reflected on the case work in the aspects of theory application and practice,and put forward an explanation on the deficiencies in practice.In view of this study,the author puts forward suggestions at the level of society,family,theoretical research and social practice,so as to reduce the occurrence of "widower parenting" phenomenon,improve the quality of family education and promote the healthy development of children.
