In 2013,China starts a new curriculum reform of education,which putting forward the new concept of curriculum and education with the core of cultivating and improving students’ accomplishment of history subject.The Standard of History Curriculum for Senior High School(2017)further checks the accomplishments and achievements which senior high school students should have while learning history.Guided by The Standard(2017),The Ministry of Education organized the new version of history textbook named The Outline of Chinese and Foreign History,which is divided into two volumes and adopts the writing form of general history.Under the guidance of Marxism,it aims at making students understand the general trend of historical development intuitively and clearly.In addition,cultivate students’ five core literacy in historical subject.In 2021,Lanzhou starts its reform and uses The Outline of Chinese and Foreign History as its history textbooks.In order to understand the situation of its usage and provide suggestions for teaching,this research selects province-leveled demonstrative high schools,municipal demonstrative high schools and normal high schools in Lanzhou which 502 samples were selected.Using SPSS 26.0 system for analysis,the conclusions of research are as follows: Firstly,students are satisfied with new textbook,especially in its content and function.Secondly,students could use new textbooks to better effect,but they still need improvement.Thirdly,in order to achieve the goal of cultivating five core literacy in history subject,teachers need to improve abilities to integrate textbooks.After reaching the conclusion,this research interviewed six middle school history teachers respectively,so as to feedback the survey results to them.In this process,teachers also showed their problems in preparation and teaching.Based on students’ survey and teachers’ interview,this study puts forward suggestions for students,teachers and teaching evaluation,which in order to provide strategies for better use of textbooks.Firstly,teachers should excavate the connotation of textbooks and make effective strategies.Secondly,students should choose appropriate learning strategies,keep thinking and solve problems.Finally,history teaching should make innovations and explore multiple evaluation modes,so as to fit five core qualities of history subject.
