The era of great science calls for the arrival of high-quality talents.In order to meet the needs of social development,countries around the world have carried out education reforms one after another,and a new round of education reform has been launched in China.The new round of curriculum reform in China clearly requires the cultivation of students’ scientific thinking.Through literature research,the author found that the HPS education concept can promote students’ understanding of the nature of science and develop their thinking skills.Therefore,this paper studies how to integrate the HPS education philosophy into classroom teaching.Due to the richness of classroom teaching types,three types of new classroom teaching are selected to integrate the HPS education philosophy into each of them,and the role of the HPS education philosophy in cultivating scientific thinking is studied.The current status of domestic and international research,conceptual definition and theoretical basis of HPS education and scientific thinking are briefly described.Through literature research,the teaching model of HPS education and the teaching model of three types of classes,namely concept class,regular class and experimental class,for developing scientific thinking are collected.Based on the conceptual definition and theoretical research on HPS education and scientific thinking,a new teaching model for developing scientific thinking by class type that incorporates the HPS teaching model is constructed,and the teaching design is based on this teaching model.Two parallel classes were selected and set up as a control group and an experimental group.The control group was taught using the traditional teaching design,while the experimental group was taught using the existing teaching design,and a three-month teaching practice was carried out.The design of the scientific thinking level test was completed before the teaching practice,and the test was administered to both classes before and after the practice and data was collected.Data analysis using Winsteps software revealed a significant increase in the level of scientific thinking of the students in the experimental group,and therefore the teaching model incorporating the HPS teaching model for developing scientific thinking in separate lessons studied in this paper was effective. |
