Hearing-impaired children have some degree of social interaction due to hearing impairment,so they are prone to problem behaviors that deviate from social norms.Emotion recognition is an important content of social interaction, which is the prediction and accurate perception of emotions by individuals based on facial expressions, and the identification of external states of emotions and internal psychological processes of emotions.Studies in hearing children have found a potential link between emotion recognition and problem behavior, but the results are inconsistent; In the hearing-impaired children, facial emotion recognition and problem behavior have been explored, but there is a lack of research on the relationship between the two.In addition, the research on the problem behavior of hearing-impaired children is not sufficient,so it is necessary to explore the problem behavior of hearing-impaired children and its relationship with facial emotion recognition.Study Ⅰ contained two sub-studies that explored problem behaviors in hearingimpaired children.Study 1a used the test method to investigate parents of 63 hearingimpaired children and 107 hearing children, and compared the differences in problem behaviors between the hearing-impaired children and hearing children through the parent-reported Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire. The results found that the behavior problems, hyperactivity behaviors and peer communication problems of hearing-impaired children were significantly more than those of hearing children.Study1 b used self-developed questionnaires to survey 63 parents of hearing-impaired children and 40 teachers of hearing-impaired schools, exploring the specific performance of hearing-impaired children’s problem behaviors at home and school,as well as the different educational methods of parents and teachers for the problem behaviors of hearing-impaired children.Study 2 explored the problem behavior of hearing-impaired children and its relationship with facial emotion recognition, selected 63 hearing-impaired children and107 hearing children, compared their facial emotion recognition ability by emotion recognition task, and compared the difference in problem behavior between the two by using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire. The results showed that the emotion recognition score of hearing-impaired children was significantly lower than that of hearing children, and facial emotion recognition could negatively predict the problem behavior of hearing-impaired children. In summary,hearing-impaired children are prone to conduct problems, hyperactivity behaviors and peer communication problems in social interaction, and have difficulties in identifying emotion types and recognition methods, facial emotion recognition can negatively predict the problem behavior of hearing-impaired children, and remind caregivers to improve the face emotion recognition ability of hearingimpaired children can make up for the problem behavior caused by insufficient facial emotion recognition to a certain extent.
