The lack of talents in the field of home economics and elderly care has become an important factor restricting the current high-quality development of China’s domestic service industry and elderly care service industry, and the low career commitment of vocational students in domestic economics and elderly care service majors is a key factor. This study focuses on the cultivation and shaping of career commitment of students majoring in home economics and elderly care services in secondary vocational schools, mainly from the perspective of the perception of school-enterprise cooperation practice situation of secondary vocational students on the impact of career commitment, and explores the mediating effect of three psychological factors: work meaning,self-efficacy and occupational stigma perception based on the theory of planning behavior. From the perspective of improving students’ satisfaction with school-enterprise cooperation, suggestions are put forward to enhance the cultivation of students’ career commitment in secondary vocational schools,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the progress of school-enterprise cooperation education practice and the shaping of students’ professional psychology in secondary vocational schools in the future. In this study, students majoring in home economics and elderly care services from ten secondary vocational schools were used as research subjects, and questionnaires were conducted using the "Career Commitment Scale","School-Enterprise Cooperation Satisfaction Scale","Work Significance Scale","Self-Efficacy Energy Scale" and "occupational stigma perception Scale".SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 analysis tools were used to process and analyze the data by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis, regression analysis, structural equation model, etc. The results show that: first, the current level of career commitment of secondary vocational students is moderately high(M±SD=3.27±1.36),and there are significant differences in grade(P<0.001),major(P<0.05),professional volunteer selection basis(P<0.001),and internship situation(P<0.001);second,the satisfaction level of school-enterprise cooperation of secondary vocational students is moderately high(M ± SD=3.19 ± 0.72),gender(P<0.05),There were significant differences in family location(P<0.05),grade(P<0.001),professional volunteer selection basis(P<0.001),and internship situation(P<0.001);thirdly,the satisfaction of school-enterprise cooperation among secondary vocational students had a significant positive impact on their willingness to commit to professional behavior(P<0.001);fourth,work meaning,self-efficacy,and occupational stigma perception played some mediating roles between the satisfaction of school-enterprise cooperation of secondary vocational students and the willingness of secondary vocational students to commit to their careers.Mediation effect sizes accounted for 29.6%,25.4%,and 22.3% of the total effect values, respectively. Conclusion: The satisfaction of school-enterprise cooperation not only has a significant positive impact on career commitment, but also further affects the career commitment of middle vocational students through the mediation of work meaning,self-efficacy and occupational stigma perception. In summary, this study puts forward the following suggestions for improving the career commitment of secondary vocational students: first, secondary vocational schools should strengthen educational practices in multiple forms of school-enterprise cooperation to improve students’ satisfaction with school-enterprise cooperation;Second, attention should be paid to improving the work significance of secondary vocational students,so that they can evaluate the matching degree between their own value and the job value corresponding to their major, and clarify the degree of benefit of future work to their own development;Third, attention should be paid to improving the self-efficacy of secondary vocational students,so that they understand their own abilities and possibilities for future work;Fourth, attention should be paid to reducing the occupational stigma perception of secondary vocational students,so that they can correctly understand the negative stereotypes of external groups about the occupations corresponding to their majors, and maintain a positive attitude towards the profession.
