| The core content of high school chemistry is’ Structure and Properties of Matter,but the knowledge in this module is relatively abstract and complex,requiring high cognitive and spatial imagination from students.This has brought certain difficulties and challenges to teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.In traditional material structure teaching,it is difficult to highlight the effective teaching characteristics of student centered material structure classroom,such as "constructiveness,interactivity,and communication".Therefore,it is necessary to explore an effective teaching method.In the context of educational modernization,the use of information technology to assist teaching has attracted more and more attention.Through studying a large amount of literature and combining the specific situation and teaching schedule of my internship school,I have selected a highly interactive,simple to operate,and resource free Ph ET simulation program and Crystal Maker software to assist in the teaching of the spatial structure and ionic crystal structures in the "Structure and Properties of Matter" module of the 2019People’s Education Edition,with the aim of reducing the abstraction of teaching content and promoting in-depth learning among students.This article first elaborates on the background and significance of the research,and analyzes and summarizes the current teaching status of "Structure and Properties of Matter" in China,as well as the research status of Ph ET simulation programs and Crystal Maker software assisted teaching both domestically and internationally.It also elaborates on the research purpose,research ideas,and methods.Then,the functional characteristics,main operations,and related educational theories of the Ph ET simulation program and Crystal Maker software are discussed.Through interviews and questionnaire surveys,we aim to understand the hardware level of the internship school,the current situation of teachers in the teaching of "Material Structure and Properties",and students’ views on the knowledge of the "Material Structure and Properties" module.We will organize and analyze the collected data and information to determine its feasibility.Under the guidance of guiding teachers,improve teaching design and courseware,and conduct teaching practice in a middle school in Yunnan Province.Analyze the teaching effectiveness through classroom performance,questionnaires,interviews,tests,and other forms.Through the analysis of practical effects,the results show that the use of Ph ET simulation program and Crystal Maker software by teachers to assist teaching has stimulated students’ interest and initiative in learning,and played an important role in improving the overall atmosphere of the classroom;Promoted students’ understanding of abstract and complex concepts and the development of spatial imagination,and improved their academic performance;Promoted the development of students’ model cognition,macro identification,and micro analysis of chemical core literacy;Cultivated students’ ability to use information technology to learn chemistry,laying a certain foundation for their future learning. |
