Abstract/Summary:
Background: Since the Ministry of Education officially issued the "Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Strengthening School Sports to Promote the Comprehensive Development of Students’ Physical and Mental Health" in 2016,the cultivation and development of students’ sports skills have been paid more attention to by all parties. As the cornerstone of advanced motor skills,Fundamental Movement Skill need to be cultivated from an early age;only by improving Fundamental Movement Skill and making them develop steadily can the good development of motor skills of children and adolescents be guaranteed. With the development of Fundamental Movement Skill research,it is found that the improvement of Fundamental Movement Skill can promote the physical and mental health of children and adolescents, and can also improve the level of Physical Activity and reduce the time of Sedentary Behavior. In 2016,Canada released the " Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for Children and Youth: An Integration of Physical Activity,Sedentary Behaviour, and Sleep ",which for the first time combined Physical Activity,Sedentary Behavior, and Sleep into24-Hour Movement Behavior, and for moderate to high-intensity Physical Activity, screen time And Sleep time three put forward the recommended amount of the guideline.Studies have shown that Physical Activity and Sleep can improve the physical and mental health of children and adolescents, while Sedentary Behavior is associated with poor health outcomes in children and adolescents.Physical Activity and Sedentary Behavior are important factors affecting the level of Fundamental Movement Skill. After the release of the guidelines,Sleep factors were added to form 24-Hour Movement Behavior, and there may be a new relationship with Fundamental Movement Skill. However, there are very few studies on the overall 24-Hour Movement Behavior and Fundamental Movement Skill, and more studies are conducted on the relationship between a certain factor in 24-Hour Movement Behavior and Fundamental Movement Skill. This study aims to explore the relationship between the 24-Hour Movement Behavior and Fundamental Movement Skill of children in my country,in order to lay the foundation for future related research and provide a reference for relevant departments to formulate corresponding policies.Method: The data of this research comes from two primary schools in Shanghai(Pingliang Road No.3 Primary School and Zhongyuan Road Primary School).Through simple sampling of students in grades 1 to 4 of the two primary schools, the sampled students are returned to the questionnaire and completed the test.A total of 338respondents(180 males,158 females, average age 8.67 years old)were included in the statistical analysis.Using the literature method, search and publish literature on 24-Hour Movement Behavior and Fundamental Movement Skill in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang,VIP,Web of Science(WOS),Pub Med,and EBSCO,laying a theoretical foundation for this study and reference basis.Using the questionnaire survey method, referring to the questionnaires of "Children and Adolescents Physical Fitness Index(Student Questionnaire)" and "Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index ",the basic situation and 24-Hour Movement Behavior(Physical Activity,Sleep,Sedentary Behavior)of the survey subjects were investigated and collected.Using the test method and using the Fundamental Movement Skill test system for children aged 6 to 10 in China, the survey subjects’ continuous jumping on one foot, sideways sliding running, kicking a ball over obstacles,one-handed ball in situ, walking on a balance beam, and walking backwards six times A Fundamental Movement Skill index is tested.Using mathematical statistics,Excel 2016 and SPSS 24.0 were used to calculate the mean and standard deviation of each indicator, and the Mann-Whitney U test in the non-parametric test was used to explore the differences between gender and grade groups;the 24-Hour Movement Behavior The chi-square test was used to test the differences between different genders and different grades for the number of people who reached the standards and the corresponding percentages of each indicator;Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the time of 24-Hour Movement Behavior and the status of reaching the standards and the level of Fundamental Movement Skill Correlation between the Fundamental Movement Skill level as the dependent variable,24-Hour Movement Behavior achievement status(Physical Activity target,Sleep target,Screen Time target,Physical Activity and Sleep target,Physical Activity and Screen Time up to the standard,Sleep and Screen Time up to the standard,Physical Activity,Sleep and Screen Time up to the standard)as independent variables, conduct linear regression analysis, and further explore the linear relationship between 24-Hour Movement Behavior and Fundamental Movement Skill.results: The main results of the questionnaire survey are that the overall average number of days with MVPA ≥ 60 minutes in a week is 5.26 ± 1.84 days, the overall average sleep time during the week is 9.07 ± 0.96 hours, and the average sleep time on weekends is 10.37 ± 1.02 hours, the overall average screen time during the week was1.74 ± 1.54 hours, and the overall average screen time on weekends was 2.38 ± 1.77hours;the main result of the measurement method survey was that the overall average score of single-leg jumping was 6.21 ± 3.57 seconds, the overall average score of sideways running is 10.80 ± 2.26 seconds, the overall average score of one-handed racquet is 6.20 ± 6.06 seconds, and the overall average score of kicking over obstacles is 11.14 ± 4.75 Seconds, the overall situation of the average score of walking backwards is 21.28 ± 10.44 seconds, and the overall situation of the average score of walking on the balance beam is 6.50 ± 6.26 seconds; From the perspective of the correlation between 24-Hour Movement Behavior and Fundamental Movement Skill, the Fundamental Movement Skill level of primary school students has a positive correlation with the Physical Activity in the middle of the week(r = 0.218,P < 0.01),and there is a positive correlation with the Physical Activity on weekends. There was a positive correlation between reaching the target(r = 0.146,P < 0.01),and a positive correlation with reaching the target of Physical Activity in a week(r = 0.247,P < 0.01).From the perspective of the linear relationship between 24-Hour Movement Behavior and Fundamental Movement Skill, reaching the Physical Activity standard has a significant impact on the Fundamental Movement Skill score(Beta = 0.241,P < 0.01);The effect on Fundamental Movement Skill scores was statistically significant(Beta =0.144,P < 0.05);the effect of achieving all three targets on Physical Activity,Sleep, and Screen Time was significant on Fundamental Movement Skill scores(Beta = 0.224,P < 0.01).Conclusions: The proportion of primary school students whose 24-Hour Movement Behavior meet the guideline standards has increased to varying degrees;the difference between the Fundamental Movement Skill grades of primary school students is more obvious, showing that the higher the grade, the higher the level of Fundamental Movement Skill;the Physical Activity of primary school students reaches the standard It has a positive relationship with Fundamental Movement Skill, and the three 24-Hour Movement Behavior meet the standards at the same time, which also has a positive relationship with Fundamental Movement Skill;the Physical Activity of primary school boys is helpful to the improvement of their Fundamental Movement Skill, while it is helpful for girls.Differently, there is no obvious relationship between their Physical Activity and Fundamental Movement Skill;in grades 1 to 4,the 24-Hour Movement Behavior indicators of third grade students have the closest relationship with Fundamental Movement Skill.
