| Objectives:(1)To analyze the effects of different situational variables(game stage,game outcome,quality of the team,and quality of the opponent)on the game technical characteristics of three-person basketball teams of different genders in the Tokyo Olympics.(2)To analyze the winning indicators of three-person basketball teams of different genders in different situational(different game stage and different quality of the team).METHODS: This study used the literature method and expert interview method,based on reading and summarizing the literature,and interviewed experts around the evaluation indexes of technical characteristics of three-person basketball,game winning indexes,and situational variables to provide a theoretical basis for the subsequent study.Ten technical statistics were collected from the official website of the International Basketball Federation(FIBA)for the men’s and women’s games of the Tokyo Olympic Games,while the data of three technical indicators,namely offensive rebounds,defensive rebounds,and steals,which were not provided by the FIBA website,were collected using the video observation method,and the reliability of the collected data was verified.After the reliability of the data was verified,the data were statistically analyzed in conjunction with the purpose of the study.First,independent samples t-tests were used to compare the differences in technical indicators between men’s and women’s teams at different stages(group stage,knockout stage)and different game results(win and loss),and to compare the differences in technical indicators between winning and losing games at the group stage and between winning and losing games at the knockout stage,respectively.Secondly,independent sample t-tests were used to compare the differences in technical indicators between men’s and women’s teams of different quality(strong and weak teams)and opposing teams of different quality(strong and weak teams),and to compare the differences in technical indicators between men’s and women’s teams of different quality against opposing teams of different quality respectively.Finally,dichotomous logistic regression was used to analyze the relationship between technical indicators and match results(wins and losses)exhibited by men’s and women’s teams in different match stages(group stage,knockout stage)and in matches of different quality(strong and weak teams),using match results as the dependent variable and 13 technical indicators as the independent variables,to further derive relevant win-making indicators.The significance level was set at 0.05.Result: Technical characteristics of games in different situational:(1)In different game stage situational,compared to group games,men’s teams tend to shoot one-pointers and protect defensive rebounds in elimination games,while women’s teams tend to shoot one-pointers and free throws in knockout games;(2)In different game outcome situational,compared to losing games,men’s and women’s teams have more steals,defensive rebounds;(3)In quality of the team situational,the strong men’s team was significantly better at scoring than the weak team,while the strong women’s team was better at controlling turnovers and protecting rebounds;(4)In quality of opponent situational,the men’s and women’s teams committed more turnovers against the strong team,while the number of point-blank shots against the weak team increased significantly.The technical characteristics of the game under different situational interactions:(1)in the group stage,men’s and women’s teams would choose more twopoint shots in winning games,and in the knockout stage,men’s teams tended to compete for offensive rebounds while women’s teams protected defensive rebounds;(2)compared to playing weak teams,men’s strong teams would get more free throw opportunities against strong teams,and women’s strong teams would generate more turnovers.In terms of winning indicators in different situations:(1)in different game stage situations,both men’s and women’s teams can increase their winning percentage by increasing the number of shots in group games,while in knockout games,both teams can increase their winning percentage by increasing the number of breakdowns and rebounds;(2)Based on different quality of the teams,compared to weak teams,men’s strong teams can increase their winning percentage by increasing the number of shots,while women’s strong teams can increase their winning percentage by actively fighting for rebounds.Conclusions: Technical characteristics of the game in different situations:(1)In different game stages,compared to group games,men’s teams tend to use mid-range shooting and breakthrough techniques in elimination games,while women’s teams tend to use the scoring method of causing fouls to obtain free throws in knockout games;(2)In different game outcome situations,compared to losing games,men’s teams tend to score in a more comprehensive way in winning games,while women’s teams tend to focus on team defensive ability in winning games;(3)In different quality of the team situations,compared to weak teams,men’s and women’s teams tend to focus on team defensive ability and tacit understanding;(4)In different opponent strength situations,men’s and women’s teams had fewer possessions when facing stronger teams than weaker teams.Technical characteristics of the game in different situations:(1)in the group stage,men’s and women’s teams tend to shoot from long range in winning games,while in the knockout stage men’s teams tend to attack and women’s teams tend to defend;(2)compared with weak teams,men’s teams are more capable of causing fouls against strong teams,while women’s teams will adopt a defensive strategy against strong teams.Winning indicators in different situations:(1)In different game stage situations,free throw shooting is the winning indicator for men’s and women’s teams in the group stage,while the number of breakdowns is the winning indicator for men’s and women’s teams in the knockout stage;(2)Based on different quality of the teams,shooting points is the winning indicator for men’s strong teams,two-point shots is the winning indicator for men’s weak teams,while offensive rebounds,defensive rebounds and free throws are the winning indicators for women’s weak teams. |
