Purpose of the studyIn recent years,in order to promote the development of bicycle sports, relevant departments have promulgated a number of favorable policies, such as the"Bicycle Sports Industry Development Plan"issued by the State General Administration of Sports in 2018.In this context, amateur road cycling has developed rapidly, and a large number of amateur road cycling competitions have been held one after another, attracting a large number of road cycling enthusiasts to participate in the competition. With the increasing number of participants, the competition of amateur road race is becoming increasingly fierce. It is well known that amateur road cycling is the most typical cyclical endurance exercise. The energy supply is mainly based on aerobic metabolism. To achieve excellent results, efficient and safe training methods are needed to improve aerobic endurance.Blood flow restriction training is a training method that has emerged in recent years to improve the body’s aerobic endurance.Based on this, this paper will take the road bicycle enthusiasts of Jianghan University as the subjects, observe the changes of aerobic endurance-related indicators before and after training through experiments, and compare the differences between blood flow restriction training and moderate-intensity aerobic training. The aim is to explore the effect of blood flow restriction training on aerobic endurance of road bicycle enthusiasts,in order to provide more effective methods for aerobic endurance training of road bicycle enthusiasts, and provide theoretical basis and practical reference for road bicycle enthusiasts.Research methodsIn this study,20 road bike enthusiasts from Jianghan University were selected as experimental subjects. All of them were male, aged about 20 years old,had more than 1 year of cycling training, and cycled more than twice a week. The subjects were randomly divided into two groups:120 mm Hg pressure blood flow restriction training group(BFRT group),control group(CON group),10 people in each group.During the experiment, the subjects no longer participated in other regular physical activities. The two groups of subjects were subjected to the same load of aerobic training on the power cycling platform. The exercise intensity was 45%-60%heart rate reserve intensity, and each continuous exercise time was30 min.Three times a week for 8 weeks.By analyzing and comparing the changes of aerobic endurance indexes before and after training, the effect of blood flow restriction training on aerobic endurance of road cycling enthusiasts was discussed.Results1.Comparison of body shape of subjects before and after 1 and 8 weeks of trainingIntra-group comparison showed that BMI and body fat rate after training in BFRT group were significantly lower than those before training(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in body weight and muscle mass of BFRT group after training as compared with those before training(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in body weight,BMI,body fat rate and muscle mass of CON group after training as compared with those before training(P>0.05).Inter-group comparison showed that there were no significant differences in body weight,BMI,body fat rate and muscle mass between the two groups before and after the training(P>0.05).2.Comparison of vital capacity and maximal oxygen uptake of subjects in the two groups before and after 2 and 8 weeks of trainingIntra-group comparison showed that the relative VO2max after training in the BFRT group was significantly higher than that before training(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in vital capacity after training in the BFRT group as compared with that before training(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in vital capacity and relative VO2maxafter training in the CON group as compared with those before training(P>0.05).Inter-group comparison showed that there was no significant difference in vital capacity and relative VO2max between the two groups before and after 8 weeks of training(P>0.05).3.Comparison of 20km time trial between two groups of subjects before and after 3 and8 weeks of trainingThe results of intra-group comparison showed that the riding performance, average power and relative average power at 20km after training in the BFRT group were significantly improved as compared with those before training(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.01).The average power and relative average power of the CON group after training were significantly improved compared with those before training(P<0.05,P<0.05),and the riding performance of the CON group after training was not significantly different from that before training(P>0.05).Inter-group comparison showed that there was no significant difference in riding performance, average power and relative average power of road cyclists between the two groups before training(P>0.05).After eight weeks of training, the 20km riding performance, average power and relative average power of BFRT group were significantly better than those of CON group(P<0.05,P<0.05,P<0.01).4.Comparison of heart rate,RPE and muscle oxygen saturation between the two groups before and after 4 and 8 weeks of trainingIn terms of exercise heart rate and RPE,compared within the same group, the quiet heart rate, heart rate recovery and RPE recovery of the subjects in the two groups showed no significant differences after 8 weeks of training as compared with those before training(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in resting heart rate, heart rate recovery and RPE recovery before and after 8 weeks of training between groups(P>0.05).In the aspect of muscle oxygen saturation in a single training in the middle of experimental intervention. The results showed that the 10-minute and 20-minute SMO2values in the BFRT group during a single training session were significantly lower than those in the CON group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in SMO2 between the two groups in resting time before and immediately after training(P>0.05).The intra-group comparison of the muscular oxygen saturation after 8 weeks of training in the 20km individual time trial showed that the 3min SMO2 recovery in the BFRT group after 8 weeks of training was significantly higher than that before training(P<0.01).The amount 3min SMO2 recovery 3 min after training in CON group was not significantly different from that before training(P>0.05).Inter-group comparison showed that there was no significant difference in the 3min SMO2 recovery of muscle oxygen saturation between the two groups before and after 8 weeks of training(P>0.05).Conclusion1.8 weeks of blood flow restriction training with 120mm Hg pressure can significantly reduce the BMI and body fat rate of road cyclists, and can significantly improve their body shape.2.8 weeks of blood flow restriction training with 120mm Hg pressure can significantly enhance the muscle oxygen utilization ability of road cyclists.3.The 8-week blood flow restriction training with pressure of 120mm Hg can obviously enhance the relative maximum oxygen uptake of road cyclists and the indexes of 20km individual time trial, and the effect of improving the indexes of 20km individual time trial is significantly better than that of moderate-intensity aerobic training without blood flow restriction.4.8 weeks of 120mm Hg pressure blood flow restriction training can effectively improve the body’s maximum oxygen uptake and special endurance by improving the muscle’s ability to use oxygen,so as to obviously enhance the aerobic endurance of road cycling enthusiasts.
