At present,information technology education focuses on teaching students how to use existing software and tools to complete the browsing,processing and expression of information in daily life,and does not pay enough attention to the cultivation of students’ creative ability and practical problem-solving ability.Computational thinking education is conducive to improving students’ information technology knowledge and skills,cultivating students’ interdisciplinary and comprehensive application of subject knowledge to solve problems,and improving students’ internal drive and innovation.The cultivation of computational thinking is the cultivation of a way of thinking,which is the process of internalizing problem solving methods.The integration of computational thinking core competencies in the teaching of information technology courses is the main goal of the discipline.Through literature analysis,this paper summarizes the widely used teaching methods and training effects in the process of computational thinking training,such as thinking visualization tools,visual programming tools,etc.,and puts forward relevant issues of existing research based on the current status of junior high school information technology courses,and discusses the establishment of a systematic visual teaching mode to avoid the situation that the previous model is single and incomplete,so as to improve students’ computational thinking ability.Computational thinking education requires different educational methods for different groups of people.The interesting experience of information technology visual teaching such as solving practical problems in learning life with Scratch visual programming can guide students to actually feel the application of information technology,understand the lifestyle of information society,and the real application of computational thinking in real life,and gradually cultivate students’ ways and abilities to use information technology to think and solve problems.This study sorted out the research on visual teaching to cultivate students’ computational thinking ability,sorted out the categories of visualization methods and their influencing effects,designed a visualization-based and problem-solving oriented teaching mode,integrating computational thinking from the three levels of method acquisition,tool application and thinking transfer with information technology courses to form a spiral cycle teaching structure.In the teaching process of this mode,the teaching content is reflected with visual tools,so that students can independently use the tools to design and implement the plan,and finally evaluate and summarize to prepare for future migration and application.
