The Art Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)advocates folk art teaching activities that are compatible with the local environment.At present,the art curriculum for ordinary high schools is conducted according to the learning modules in the textbooks,in which the "art appreciation" module contains the "folk art" unit.And the unit involves the teaching content of "folk Paper Cuttings".High school students should dabble in the general folk art knowledge in the appreciation course and dig deeply into its categories.In order to expand the art teaching content in high school,study the practical effect of art classroom teaching integrating handicraft and appreciation,strengthen the connection between Chaoshan Paper Cuttings and life,provide new elements for art appreciation classroom in high school,lead to appreciate the beauty of Lingnan folk Paper Cuttings art,the author put paper cuttings in the "art appreciation" module to integrate the national intangible heritage project-Chaoshan Paper Cuttings into the teaching content of art appreciation in senior two,aiming to study the possibility of Chaoshan Paper Cuttings.The article is divided into five parts.The first is to explain the applicability of the integration into the "art appreciation" module.The second is to show the investigation of Paper Cuttings in high school.The third is to launch Chaoshan Paper Cuttings teaching design for the "art appreciation" module.The fourth is specific teaching practice.And the fifth is to summarize the results.Through the supplement of Chaoshan Paper Cuttings to folk art knowledge and the combination of manual operation and art appreciation,the teaching practice of Paper Cuttings has obtained effective results.The students have deepened their understanding of the major categories of Chinese folk art,changed their previous attitude to the appreciation.Art teaching forms tend to diversify in practice.The traditional Chinese culture is linked to life.The achievements of teaching practice not only provide rich teaching analysis and theoretical support for the research,but also promote the vigorous development of folk art,reflecting China’s protection and promotion of excellent traditional culture in the new era.
